Ya, I am chinese and we eat that, as a dessert and as part of the main grains in the 8 treasure porridge.

I''m Chinese+Japanese so I eat them all the time. Anything you want to know about them?

Yes... how do you cook them in soup? Any good chinese recipes?

I heard that you can add them to your normal soup recipe... but i want something exotic LOL

What do you mean by exotic? :P For what kind of meal, snack?

Main staple, something like this. http://www.mickystaiwaneserecipes.com/simple-sweet-eight-treasure-congee

You can also add anything else you have, such as dates, wolfberry, etc.

As a dessert, a simple one is to just boil the beans in water with ginger until soft, and sweeten to taste.

Ooh that dessert one sounds yummy!!

I also love porridge/congee so i have to try that too!! YUM

ya, left it in the slow cooker/crockpot overnight, and you will have the porridge in the morning. :) But we eat it for all meals.

This is the recipe. Post it in the above reply. Same thing. http://www.mickystaiwaneserecipes.com/simple-sweet-eight-treasure-congee
