Some of you may remember me from over a year ago. I posted pictures when I first got my engagement ring. Well, my boyfriends divorce ended up taking longer than we thought and it was finally finalized last week. He proposed three days later! I am over the moon excited. My ring is designed by David Klass. It has a 1.16 K SI2 August Vintage Cushion diamond (6.06 x 6.39 *I think*). It is flanked by .37 tcw of J SI1 step cut trapezoids. I have a size 7 finger. My engagement story and pictures and video of the ring is below:
(July 1) I’m engaged!!!!!! My boyfriend made it seem like we’d be getting engaged next month on our trip to Poland but he tricked me! He leaves tomorrow and I join him in two weeks (he has business first). Anyway, he suggested we go to dinner tonight since we won’t see each other for a couple weeks. We went to one of the restaurants we used to frequent early on in our relationship. When he mentioned it, a small part of me thought MAYBE tonight was the night but I didn’t get my hopes up. I played a game with myself and thought “well, if he wears his blue striped shirt (which is my favorite) then maybe it will happen…” He wasn’t wearing it so I thought “OK it’s not happening” and I went ahead and put on a ring that I sometimes wear on my left finger that has his name on it. We went to dinner and were enjoying live music. After dinner was finished, I scooted my chair close to him and he put his arm around me. Then he grabbed my left hand and started kissing my ring finger and my heart stopped but I didn’t get my hopes up (he has a habit of doing this). Then he asked why I was wearing a ring on my finger and that it needed to come off and I couldn’t believe it…I saw him reach into his pocket and I immediately covered my face and said ” oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.” Apparently he got down on one knee but my face was covered the whole time so I didn’t see anything. Lol Then he said “[name] will you marry me? Will you be my wife? Will you spend forever with me?” I kept covering my face saying “oh my god, oh my god” and he said, “well, will you?” So I finally said yes and then he put my ring (that I’ve been waiting 14 months to wear!) on my finger! I’m so happy!!!!! When the waitress came over I told her my boyfriend just proposed and she brought over two glasses of champagne on the house. After dinner we took a nice long walk and then came home and went swimming and it was just the perfect night!!
P.S. He read my mind with the shirt and said he purposely didn’t wear my favorite shirt to throw me off. lol!
