After I give the ring should I...?

Hey everyone I need to clarify something. This maybe a stupid question but I dont know...I recently bought a e-ring from James Allen and plan to propose to my gf on Christmas eve. After I propose and give the ring (if she says yes ) should I show her the specficiations of the diamond. I know that i shouldn't tell her the price, but should give her the AGS certificate with all info and the appraisal certificate? Or is that something I keep to myself?

Hold onto it, and if she asks for it, show it to her. Otherwise, just keep it locked up with the appraisal docs and any insurance information.

I say just mention how you researched to find her a beautiful diamond and that you have the certificate and all the info that goes with it. If she asks to look at it then show her but if not keep it in a safe place. Hope this helps! Good luck with your proposal

I say just mention how you researched to find her a beautiful diamond and that you have the certificate and all the info that goes with it. If she asks to look at it then show her but if not keep it in a safe place. Hope this helps! Good luck with your proposal

This sounds reasonable. Of course right after you propose you'll probably be celebrating!

I would "educate" her on the tone and show her the certificate if she inquires.... although I think most girls want to know the carat size- my FI said- "it's 1.55 carat" then we got it appraised for insurance at which point I saw the certificate.

I guess it depends upon whether or not she's really into diamonds. I would personally want to see the certificate, but I know lots of women who really don't care about the specifications.

agree. One of my best friends- when asked by another friend two days after she was engaged- "how many carats?" said- truthfully I don't know!. Now me being into diamonds I am definitely curious as to what my ring is and what her's is as well, but she's not really that into it.
