I''ve sort of mentioned that I was looking through something new (Re: Interview clothes thread) but never put too many details, I was worried about jynxing myself with sharing too much!
But I got it!!! I''m just shocked! I shouldn''t be, I thought I was awesome for the job and a perfect fit and they actually pursued me to some extent. But this has been the LONGEST process ever, seriously, the cover letter went out end of Oct/first week of November, 3 interviews later... Omg and I wanted this so badly...its not like it pays great (FAR from it) but I have always wanted to work at this institution and its a foot in the door, so I''m willing to overlook pay right now. I wasn''t supposed to hear until next week so it was a total shock to get the call this afternoon! I''ve been trying to make the switch into this field for a couple months...I''ve always intended on being in non-profits, and I was before, but in a different department, and I was finding it tough to switch, even at my previous institution. Finally I got so fed up with my old job I just quit right before Christmas to do this job search stuff full time, but actually this interview process was already underway so I wasn''t too good about looking for anything else and was just crossing my fingers that this would work out! And it did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I just had to share, because that totally made my week/month
