1) Square or rectangular? (and why?)

2) How many pages and pictures? What size? How few pictures do you think you can get away with to really "tell the wedding story?"

3) How did you choose your pictures?

4) Is it worth it to splurge on extra pages/pictures? We originally were going to make our own in a year after we get the picture rights, but (long story) we currently have a 15-page album in our package, which seems very short.

Thanks ladies!!

i think i''m doing the square. i just like the look of it. and we''re doing 25 pages i think...

Ours is square, 10 pages, 33 images. It was REALLY difficult to have so few images, but we just picked out our favorite moments, and then sprinkled in a few portraits that were important to us (ie, grandparents). I won''t lie, it took a few days of picking photos, letting them sit, and then looking at them again later to make sure. At first, I didn''t feel that we had enough in the album, but now that we have wedding photos around our house, I think our album number is sufficient, and I just couldn''t justify the price of additional pages. In our package, we also have the proof photos and we already have about 200 candids from friends. If you have a lot of extra photos, I would just put ''em in another album and do the minimum in your professionally-made album. How many photos does your photog suggest for the album? If your photog says she can fit more images in, I might be cautious- one of my friends had a 20 or 30 pg album with TONS of images and was actually disappointed - a lot of photos were too small to be appreciated (too much graphic design, not enough photography).
