I had heard rumors about what happened, but I think maybe it was a trick since now JG is preggo on the show and so maybe otherwise she would have been in more danger? BUT then next episode it shows her kicking some enemy butt in revenge/to keep her and her baby out of danger, so maybe not?

I HOPE it was a well-orchestrated 'psych' and that later on it comes out that it's all fine BUT like I told Greg, if it was for real and not a ploy, then I am SOOOO mad about it and how blase it was.

(Tried to be vague in case anyone hasn't watched their TiVo yet but I don't know how well I succeeded!)

Okay so...........like Mara said I heard this was going to happen MAYBE midseason...but last night...


THEY KILLED off Vaugn. Yep, you read right. In the Season FREAKING Premiere!!!


It wasn't from the car crash shown at the end of last season, but later in the show. They brought up the possibility that Vaugn was a double agent, and also brought in some upper management dude to the CIA who was "investigating Vaugn" but turned out to be a bad guy. They brought in a new secret conspiracy, Prophet Five, which Vaugn's dad and some other guy were asked to decode decades ago. Once decoded, the decoders started ending up dead and only Vaugn's dad and this other dude escaped by assuming new identitiies (hence Vaugn telling Sydney that Michael Vaugn is not his real name. It's some french name I can't remember.) Anyway, this bad guy/upper management CIA dude finds them and shoots them each like, 20 times. Sydney could see everything but was unable to get there...there were train tracks in between and a train going through. Brought Vaugn to the hospital, he had surgery, but then ended up dying of heart failure. You see his funeral, and then it jumps in time to 4 months later and she's out to get those guys to "protect herself and her baby" (which they disclose in the episode).

Anyway, for more, ABC has synopses on the show...but I cannot believe they freaking killed him off in the FIRST episode! Grrrrrrrr.

See why I thought it was maybe fake was because of how they shot him what 16 times in the chest and he still lived to go through surgery and speak to Syndney etc after? Whereas the other guy was OBVIOUSLY dead?

I thought well maybe he was wearing a vest but a few of them hit him too low aka when they referred to ''organ damage'' because I was really skeptical that he''d survive after being shot so many times at such a close range!

Secondly, when Syd was talking to him in the room and they were speaking about baby names, she was already crying and I just thought, that was kind of weird. Then she seemed so calm at the funeral, and they bypassed EVERYONE finding out about it and the real emotional turmoil that KILLING OFF A MAIN CHARACTER should cause?!??!!?!!? I was floored.

So then I started thinking WELL maybe they don''t want to make a big deal of it since they are possibly trying to fake his death since now that she is preggo, they realize she will never be safe with these guys out to get them if V keeps looking for the truth? Esp how they ff 4 months later?

I don''t know though....part of me feels like maybe he IS dead which really sucks because it was the first episode and if they did kill him off before JG was tired of working with her ex and making out with him/acting like she loved him on-screen then that is a) screwed up and b) how they did it was even more screwed up and very insulting to a main character who''s been around since day 1. BOO.

ok,this is way to crazy. I had heard rumors about him being killed off but i''ve heard him say he is NOT leaving the show

that''s a total bummer if it''s true..

i didn''t know they were writing her pregnancy into the show either, i had heard they were just going to hide it
