Alishan Update...

Last year, I found a marvelous Alishan platinum semi mount on eBay from a B&M store that was closing for good. After alot of hand holding by PSers, I bid and won the ring. My K pear was set, and I was happy. I was also encouraged by PSers to get the matching band (duh!!). After saving my scheckles, I''m going in this weekend to order the couture band to match the engagement ring remount.

And this is the band I'm having custom made to match... I will post lots of photos when the set is complete in February. I'm so excited!!!

I either wear this e-ring alone, or I wear the gold band that I got married in. The gold band is on my finger most of the time (because of the work I do in a library-- I''ve already lost one fake sapphire here at work shelving books!), but I have been wearing the e-ring again more often. When the band arrives, I''ll probably do a 50/50 split until I retire, then it''ll be all sparkly all the time!

I remember this ring! It has such a lovely, unique design -- I have never seen anything like it. And you were going to reset your pear????? I think it''s better that you didn''t because your ring is gorgeous!

Hi Lumpkin! No, I certainly wasn't going to take THIS pear out of it's new Alishan home. You're thinking of ANOTHER pear I have (the yellow "hooty" pear). It get's confusing, since I have more than one pear. But the Hooty diamond will be reset (someday) . What a horrible burden, to have so many diamond, LOL!

Ohhhhhhh. You did say it was a yellow pear, but to some people anything that isn''t colorless is yellow. I assumed.......

I really do love the Alishan setting.

That is a cool, unusual set. Very interesting; it''s really got a ''designer/artist'' vibe. I can''t wait to see your final set.
