So, rather than keep too much on the daniel m thread (which I hope dies a natural death soon because things are better and all his customers are happy), I thought I'd finally post about my fishtank gravel topaz. It's hard to believe all that stress over a $40 stone, LOL.
Anyway, it's about half a carat, and came from Jerry Newman. It's a pretty weak golden champagney color, but a good bit more yellow than my bigger topaz from mastercut. Here's a horrible picture of it inside the box and plastic bag after getting it back Friday:

I'll take some more tonight - it is really beautifully cut, which is why it was so hard to find. It turns out very small topaz in not-phenomenal colors aren't worth a lot of time and effort. They're easy to get from places that sell jewelry supplies, in calibrated sizes, but you all have ruined me and I prefer well cut now.
I had initially planned something like this for it:

My drawing is horrible, the stone is rounder than that.
Any other ideas you may have would be welcome. I want a pretty little birthstone ring out of this deal (eventually... it's probably going to be a while before I get it set). I like the outdoors and nature so I wanted something sorta-organic for it.
