I got engaged not even a month ago and I am not getting married until Sept-Oct 2009. But my fiance and I live in Florida and our families live in Minnesota. We went home this past weekend (the first time home since we moved to FLorida and got engaged) to visit our families.

While I was home, my mom suggested I go try on dresses to see if what I like is what I like on me and also since I was only going to be home twice before I get married she thought it would be fun. I was not planning on buying a dress because I had not tried any on ever. I knew what my budget was and thought it would be impossible to find a dress that I liked for that price.

The boutique I went to was amazing, the experience was so much fun. Well i spoke with a consultant there told her what I like and she came back with several dresses. The first dress she showed me, I knew it was going to be the dress for me. I tried it on and fell in love!!!!! I tried on at least 10 more after and none even came as close to the dress I loved. It is exactly what I imagined for as long as I can remember. It is a dress that will never go out of style and I just love it. I know it is way way early and I didn''t give it any time for other places, but I just had the feeling with the dress. Plus it was half the cost of what I budgeted!!!! I am so excited. I am somewhat happy I got it so soon though because it is going to take 8 months for them to get the dress in. So I wont even be able to bring it back to FLorida until Christmass 2008. So I guess I made the right decision to buy it.

I am having problems down sizing my photos so I can post them, but I will post a link to the dress and the pictures. The pictures shown are in gold and silver. The dress I purchased is Ivory with silver beading. Just amazing!!!!

this is a detailed view as well. I love all the bead work and the little ruffle at the bottom. The whole dress has a vintage design look to it and that is what I love!!!!!

EDIT: Here is the website I got the pictures from - http://www.morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=1&D=2147&P=3

It''s soooo pretty! I can see why you love it.

Don''t mind the clips

This isn''t the veil I am going to get because it is crazy expensive, but I am going to find one similar

OK the last one. You can see my tattoo in one of them. You think it looks bad if it shows? It is 3 snow flakes with a similar design that is on the dress, everyone who saw the dress said that it actually looks good with it. What are your opinions???

No joke, you look way better in that dress than the model! Wow it''s stunning! I also like the tattoos but I''m biased because I didn''t cover my butterfly tattoo on my shoulder blades during my wedding.

You look great!!!

The dress is gorgeous! Wow! It looks great on you!

Congrats on finding the dress! How wonderful that it was such a pain-free experience!!

Wow, I thought the dress looked good on the model, but it looks amazing on you! I don''t think it looks bad with your tattoos showing, but if you''re concerned you could always cover them up.

You have a gorgeous back, which makes the tattoos look more beautiful than "biker chick".

I have two tattoos on my back as well, that I plan on covering up by wearing my hair down and some heavy concealer especially made for tattoos. I heard its hard to find a match for your skintone.

I''d say its totally up to you!

LOVEEEEEE the dress btw! Absolutely gorgeous.

Wow! I can see why you fell in love with it...you look gorgeous!!! Congratulations on the engagement as well!
I also have tattoos and feel very attached to them ( get it? hehe oh dear that was terrible =D )
I think yours lets another "part" of you show and it works really well with your dress. Regardless of whether you decide to cover it up or not, you''ll be a stunner!

You look beautiful! So glad you were able to find something so quickly and cheaply! Hopefully everything else will fall into place accordingly!

M A G N I F I C E N T FL! You are a beautiful bride

Thank you everyone!!! The one that sucks is that I have to wait more than a year to put it on again...

It definetly makes you have good posture, which I mine is horrible since I stopped dancing... oops.... I will work on it. Nothing worse than a slouchy bride.

I think I have decided to not cover the tattoo up. I don''t want to worry about smudging it and getting my dress dirty and getting other people dirty. But the lady at the dress store had suggested to use stage makeup because it is very heavy. Just a tip for people who are interested.

Your dress is fabulous! I wish I had your shape.

I didn''t cover up my artwork, though my mother was all over me to do so. I didn''t want the bother of putting on cover-up makeup and then worry about getting on the dress or anything else. I have one on my arm and back.

WOWZA! That is a gorgeous dress and I agree, you will not get tired of it, nor will it go out of style.

As for the Tats, where them with pride

They are a part of you, and you FI loves you exactly the way you are. I say OWN them girl! You are a beautiful girl and it shows!!!

Here is a close up of the tattoo. I think the design flows pretty well with the dress, what do you think?

WOW I love the dress!!! an it looks beautiful on you!!! Anything would look beautiful and this dress looks like it was made for you!!!!!

As for the tattoo, I''m not a tattoo fan so my first instinct would be to say cover it, but it is a nice design and everyone going probably knows you have it anyway...and if they don''t, well, this is who you are so if you want to show it, the I say go for it!

M~

I think you look gorgeous! And even though I''m not a fan of tattoos, yours goes quite well with the gown.

The dress looks very nice on you! Regarding the tattoo, I would say that is 100% up to you, as you could go either way, since it is very tasteful. I kinda believe that weddings should be a reflection of the bride & groom, so if you are comfortable with your tattoo showing, then go for it.

Lovely dress.. just beautiful!

The dress looks so much better on you than the model. Wow, I am envious of your having the curves all in the right places.

As for the tattoo, I''d just leave it as it is. Just make it less obvious with the veil, but not really hiding it.
