Kinda digging these. They arrived buried under the 16 other pairs from zappo's and I think we might have a winner. They are SUPER comfy (I still haven't taken them off). I'm guessing they will hurt (still a lot of foot angling) after a couple of hours, but I'll get some gel soles for the balls of my feet and maybe bring an emergency change of shoe. But check it out! They make me almost 5'7"! That's exciting for a bitty thing like me. So the problem is, not sure I can wait till the March wedding to get to wear them.

LOL Indy I just did the same thing ordering from zappos. I ordered those too! They are the Nine West Neews, right? They had great reviews and are perfect for us ''shorties''...

As for not wanting to wait to wear them...ya know, you should probably break them in a little to see how they wear for longer periods of time, you know, like a trial run for the big day. Or if you like them so much you want to wear them immediately maybe you could get a 2nd pair after returning the other ones to Zappos?? The Neews will look fantastic with your dress

These are a good "emergency shoe" option from Victoria's Secret-- my dress is champagne, but I still ordered these in white because I'm wearing 3.5 inch heels (bringing me to 5'10", and my FI is only 5'11, but I wear high heels so often I'd feel wierd in anything less than 3)-- they're high enough to not cause my dress to drag if I require a change due to painful shoes! ANd the cushiness of the flip flops is very comfy!

IG, i really like those! They look great on your feet, and they actually don''t look terribly uncomfortable! Good idea on gel soles for the balls of your feet...you may not be in too much pain during the wedding/reception, but you''ll feel it the next day. Every time I wear my 3.5 espadrille wedges I think they''re so comfy but the next day my feet are so cramped up and in pain. Nothing a little Advil can''t handle, though!

Hey IG..

I just wanted to chime in..

I love those shoes.. but I dont think they would go well with your dress.. IMO... I think they are too chunky... and maybe a little "moon shoe-ish" for your gorgeous dress...I think they would be faboooooo with a great pair of jeans... or even a really cute cuffed short... but that wide low ankle strap and the stark silver is just turning me off when I think of it combined with that amazing NM dress of yours!!

I think couture when I see your dress.. and those shoes dont exactly fit that... I think you can find a GREAT pair of shoes that are both comfy and fit the elegance of your dress...

I think a pewter color of a shoe would be best.. oooh.. or even a blush color would be gorgeous, maybe a distressed silver.. (depends on how quirky you want to be)

Sorry.. dont want to be Debbie Downer.. just wanted to chime in!!!

.. ducking and running to hide now....

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Jaders: I totally agree that fashion wise, these are not the perfect pair for my little dress. But I''m assuming no one will see more than a flash of silver underneath or the occasional glimps if I have to pick the dress up! I need steadiness + LOTS of height and I fear that will inevitably = chunky.

But I have 7 months to find alternatives to these little Disco Babies!

I know I''m late (I''ve been out of town!) but those shoes are sick! I love them! And I think they''ll be amazing with your dress! Plus you would totally wear them again. May I ask who makes them? They''re seriously awesome!

Thanks Thing2! Love-in-Bloom nailed it. They are indeed lowly ol'' Nine West "Neews". Nothing designer.

There''s a hilarious two-tone version of these you might want to check out on Zappo''s just to see it. It''s a bit much for me, but WOW! It''s diagonally cut half black patent, half silver patent.

I was going to wear these out to dinner last night and feeling all glam. Then I remembered that my friend (a man) I was going out with is only 5''5". So, the last thing he needs is for the only girl he knows who''s shorter than him to suddenly be 5''7". So I refrained.

Hmmm, so I really don''t know how comfy these would be, but with all the buckles you can probably get them to fit nice and securely. Also, the heel is a little thicker which might help w/ you feeling secure on them. I''m betting that if you spend any time in some COMFORTABLE heels you may surprise yourself with how steady you can get.

Anyway, they struck me as kind of funky/fun, and the textured pewter has the chance of looking awesome with your dress.

Found them on Zappos: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/18395074/c/61949.html

They''re Anne Klein.

IG, I think your dress is lovely on you...But I also think that you can put it "over the edge" if you over accessorize it in the wrong way...It could become cartoonish, if you know what I mean. I think it''s probably important with that dress to wear feminine shoes, think Manolo''s or something along those lines. Something with sleek, delicate, fine lines? Otherwise it might start to make the dress look too costumey, you know? I could see simple heels in a dark gunmetal grey silver (for contrast) with perhaps some delicate sparkle on them? Then again, what do I know about fashion!

Not sure how I missed that-thanks! I''m going to check out the ugly ones right now...OMG-those are atrocious! WOW! Hahaha!

Thing2, they are indeed atrocious!

For all of you who point out that that dress needs some dainty strappy Manolos, I do actually agree that that would be MUCH nicer! But I REALLY need the extra height to make that dress look good and I can''t walk in stilettos that are more than a couple of inches.

Hmmmm... I''ve got 7 months to solve this one.

Anyone got magic growth-serum?

I know what you mean Indy Gal. I am not super coordinated so if I am gonna wear heels they need to be wedges for more stability. What about a more strappy platform wedge? I have looked and there isn''t much online but maybe if you went to a department store there might be more options. Something similar to the shoe you like but more delicate... it is hard to find though!

Also, have you tried on the shoes with the dress? I remember you said that the dress didn''t need any alterations so couldn''t the shoes make the dress too short? I hope not!

Maybe this would be a good solution for you? I know what you''re thinking, ''ahh, that is a high heel!''

I bought these shoes in houndstooth/red patent and I love them. I literally own 60+ heels and these are some of the most comfy I have ever put on. The Mary Jane strap keeps them on and they still have a platform, but are a little more sleek. (Did I mention that they are on sale right now?)

When I bought them, I was a little nervous at the height of the heel, but the salesperson introduced me to ''Superfeet'' for high heels. It is an insole that balances out your weight, making it crazy easy to wear these puppies all day without falling over. I put those insoles into all my heels now. You could still put a gel pad (foot petals?) at the bottom too.

The picture online doesn''t do them justice, if you live near a Nordstrom, go check them out. I am seriously considering buying them in silver, brown, black, red ....

Here it is ... such a sexy shoe!!

Seattle, where were you able to buy the superfeet inserts? I don''t think I''ve ever seen them anywhere.

I LOVE the ones Sparkle posted. And those inserts sound great, you might get some now and experiment with them.

Holy Moly! That is a sexy shoe.

Hey wouldn''t it be fun to have a "my most killer shoes" thread? I think I will start one...

I really love these...light and dainty.

The Kick-a$$ shoe thread has started! Over on the hangout.

Haha, so I left for work and all I could think about were those silver shoes ... I went and bought them after work!

I bought the Superfeet insoles at Nordstrom when I bought the shoes. I''m absolutely love them. I think I''ll end up putting them in my wedding shoes too. They even out the rise in the heel so that it feels more flat. It''s a miracle!!

I agree with SeattleSparkle...I think you definitely need a dressier shoe, and these are to die for!

Just an FYI, I have Superfeet insoles in all of my shoes...they are also available at all Kaiser Permanente pharmacies for about $29.99. Hope that helps!

IG, thanks for starting this thread! I''m only 5''1" and my FI is 5''9" so I''d like as much height as possible on my wedding day! I usually wear 3+" heels all the time so I''m looking for anything above 4".....is that too much?

Anyway I love both your shoe and the one SeattleSparkle posted - thanks! I''ll be sure you tell you if I find others in my search.

I never tried Superfeet but I use Insolia, another insert that rebalances your feet. I swear by them and being a high-heel freak in NYC, I do a lot of walking in heels! You can check them out at http://www.insolia.com/
