Here are my gemstone finds!

2.45 ct aquamarine. approx 10 x 8mm. It''s a very pretty blue but the pics don''t show it very well. It''s completely eye-clean, so anything you see is just fuzz from the container.

Next, are two trillion Uruguay amethysts. approx 8mm, 1.60cttw, eye-clean and soo pretty. They pick up lots of red flash. They match much better than what the camera is picking up.

And, lastly is my freebie. It''s an emerald cut, 8x9, 2.69ct bi-color tourmaline. Green and pink. Unfortunately, it is horribly included and she gave it to me for free because I''ve always loved the bi-color stones.

Sorry, still can''t manage a collage. So, here we go.

First pic is of all the stones together.

sweet love the amethysts, more pics!!!

my lovely ladies! These are actually the reason I began looking at the stones. I have no idea what I''m going to do with them yet, am open to suggestions!!

I love the 4 peaks amethyst, but I have to say, these Uruaguayans called my name!

this shot is blurry, but it shows that the color DOES match.

on my hand, which is getting uglier by the minute.

my poor included tourmaline. You are one smudge away from perfection...

tourmaline again. You can see the huge inclusion really well here.

last pic. I wanted to not be able to see the inclusion when it's on my hand, but alas, I see it glaring at me! I can't spend the money to set such a dog, but it's fun to play with.

Thanks for looking!

Nice collection! The amethysts are GORGEOUS. I love the colors on the tourmaline, and it''s still a pretty cool stone despite the inclusions. Did I miss another thread about where you got these?

Thanks, Selkie. No you didn''t miss another thread. Not really, anyway. Yesterday I posted some questions about buying gems, and a few people looked at it, but I didn''t get any replies. (probably because I wanted a way to deem the worth of a stone without a loupe!!)

I have a pair of 5mm 4 peaks that are little sisters too those.
In larger sizes which you usually cant find 4 peaks I like the better of the Uruguay and Siberian material as well.

Oooo, beautiful stones, somethingshiney! I really love the amethysts. Earrings maybe?

Beautiful stones. I can see the amethysts as beautiful earrings, those are gorgeous in color. Even though the tourmaline is included it is really beautiful.

Ooh very nice treasures. The aqua looks lovely, the amethysts are great. I would put them in dangle leverback earrings. Of course, that is what I always want in earrings. The bi color tourmaline is pretty. I don''t have one of those in my gem jar, I must remedy that. I have an ametrine in there which is very cool but I need a watermelon tourmaline.

I can''t wait to see what you make with your aqua and amethyst.

Lovely SS!!! I am seeing the amethyst in leverbacks too!! Can''t wait to see them set!

I would halo those amethysts and make them into earring charms. Do you have a pair of diamond huggies. They would be amazing!!!

Thank you all!

I don''t have diamond huggies, and they don''t appear to be in my future, but those amethysts would make lovely charms! (anyone wishing to gift the diamond huggies to me would be greatly appreciated...)

Today, I went to maul stores to get ideas for earrings. I saw these really pretty lever backs set with trillions in a semi-bezel setting. They were really pretty, and they were only 6mm, which means mine would be even better!!

But, I can''t have them set my stones. They want $75 a piece!!

If anyone has pics of how my amethysts can be set, please post them.

And, I have no idea what I''m going to do with the aqua. I''m normally not drawn to them, but the color and sparkle of this one was just too pretty to pass up. So, ideas for aqua??

One last question, and it''s a bit silly. IF I find a Target ring that is the same size as my tourmaline, would you think there''s any way for ME to put it in?? (a little plier action...) I''d like to be able to wear it for fun, and it''s not like I''d be worried about it falling out.

They are all great, even the included guy! He has a certain imperfect charm...
