Wow, what a great piece!

The setting was custom made by a local jeweler.

My "special someone" was going to wait until he found a chain for me to wear this on, but he decided he wanted me to have it now instead. I haven''t worn yellow gold in quite some time, looks like I will have to break out the YG pieces once again.

Wow, what a great piece!
Thanks princessplease!!

Lovely.

How pretty! Enjoy wearing it!

Beautiful stone. Love the design. I really like the rustic handmade feel to it, reminds me of something from the Sundance catalog.

Please give us a neck shot when you get a chain for it!

What a lovely gift! You''re lucky to have a special friend with such good taste!

The stone looks beautiful -- am I seeing three bands of color in that ametrine?

Oh the colors in that stone look really cool. TFS

Very nice!

It''s very beautiful, unusual and rustic.

It''s lovely, and I agree, the design is beautiful!

Thanks everyone! VRbeauty: yes, there are 3 bands of color in the stone, which makes it that much more interesting.

Since this is a slightly heavier piece, and the bail is chunkier, I need to find a YG chain that is more substantial than the skinny box chains I currently own. I have no idea where to look, but I think a 2mm snake type chain might be appropriate, or even something like a very thin omega (but not an omega, if that makes sense).
