WELLL...
I haven''t written since about september or october when I told you all about our ring shopping...and finding THE RING!
Well a couple weeks ago we went to my SO''s work christmas party. HIs company has several offices across the state/nation...so each office sort of hangs out together at these parties. Anyway, the secretary at his office has a husband whom deliver diamonds for a popular local jewelery store. When we originally became "close" with this couple, Mark always said that my SO BETTER come to him to buy a ring because he can get a great deal and a wonderful ring.
WELL...when we shopped, we found MY RING at a store other then the one Mark works for. SO anyway, at the christmas party Mark was asking about the progress of our ring shopping. I naturally stepped away so that my SO could keep his plan quiet. Later I found out that Mark was DEMANDING that my SO come with him to his store and they would get a ring customized to the one I found.
honestly, I don''t care where he buys it or how he gets it...that is totally up to him. BUT NOW...I sit...waiting..waiting..waiting! First of all, this christmas party was my first inclination that he hadn''t looked at my ring since we had gone shopping
He has always had a specific DATE in mind for our engagement and he told me we would FOR SURE be engaged by august 07...BUT after ring shopping he mentioned what we would do about our leases when his lease is done in May...(he refuses to live together until we are engaged..traditional) So that made me think we would be engaged by this spring.
I just HATE THIS WAIT! I almost wish he hadnt told me "by august" because now I am just expecting it at every corner. BUT...I knew he wouldnt propose prior to my sister getting married at the end of December...so once january hits I will be so ANXIOUS....
