Letting go my stash, in order to raise small funds for Edwina. This weekend’s listings are Pricescope only and won’t be listed anywhere else. If anyone is interested in buying, I’ll make an Etsy listing with all the details and tracking number on the shipping, and post the link in each thread.
——————————————————-

This is a stunning antique lorgnette chain, which I paid an obscene price for, but hardly ever wear. It’s going to be listed on Etsy at a higher price eventually if it doesn’t sell here, but PS friends get first dibs.

14k yellow gold, measuring 23 inches long, with a 2.5 inch drop, this is both delicate and strong, designed to hold an enamel watch pendant (long since lost). It weighs 5.51g and the spring rings (both of them) are sturdy and function perfectly. There are three blue and white enamel Batons, the bottom of which was chipped sometime in the last 100 years or so, which a jeweller has gently polished down smooth, and is visible in the photo with the arrow.

This thing is just gorgeous and I have tenderly worn it a few times and keep it clean and safe. I have no idea if it was made by a famous name house like Tiffany or Fabergé but it is so carefully fabricated that it seriously makes me wonder. Only an expert appraiser would be able to tell me but that’s not in the cards. Asking exactly half of what I paid, with free shipping. $350
Thanks for looking.

Lowering to $299 with free shipping. I can’t believe the loss I’m taking —- but Someone out there will love and adore this Lorgnette!! Buy it to resell for profit, if you like!

With love and thanks, from me and Edwina!

Heres some examples of how a lorgnette was worn!
For those of us with blurry eyesight, this kind of necklace can save us!

Thanks everyone for all your support!

I hope I'm not overstepping by suggesting this but why not throw it in your Etsy store? Fine examples like this are few and far between and who knows maybe someone is looking for a piece like this. Rather than take a loss on it you know? Or throw it on LT since the Etsy fees can be a bit much.

It is a beautiful piece.

Against wise counsel (see above), price just dropped to $275
Bump Bump!

@PreRaphaelite Have you thought about contacting Jewels by Grace on this one? I see ones on Etsy and elsewhere that are 14kt and they are in excess of $1500 at a minimum.

Or what about asking Diana of SinCityFinds to take a consignment for you? Even with fees, I think you would do so much better.

It looks like it might have sold! Whomever bought it got an amazing deal!

Hi!
Yes, it sold - I know it was wildly underpriced (seems like most of the things were? Not sure) but I feel good about letting it go. Thank you all so much for your suggestions - this is such a warm community and it makes me so happy!

ps- if the buy decides to return it, I'll send it off to consignment. Great suggestion! Thanks!
