Well, I''ve posted a few times with questions about pave and cushions...

After some research and lots of thought, we''re going with Mark at ERD for the engagement ring. Thought I''d keep ya posted since you all have been so much help!

We''ve already selected a stone, which I think I love, based on some pictures and thoughts from Mark.

And now, we''re working on the custom setting with him. It''s gonna be very close to a Leon ring I love. We decided to go with Mark partly because of cost and also because we feel he''ll be easier to work with long distance than Leon.

Should have the CADs sometime this week. I''m already so excited and impatient...

On the contrary..., polished or beautiful is the word I would use..., the question..., does it realy look close enough to the final product?

Absolutely Amazing!!!! That cad is one I would say I would wear as is. It does not look crude to me at all. It is actually quite delicate compared to some i have seen.

That cushion is to die for.

DiaGem - The CAD renderings are exactly what the ring will look like, but magnified by a million times, or something close to that. I was worried it wouldn''t have the delicate look, but have been assured that it definitely will. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks ladies! I''m ecstatic and absolutely love my ring!! I''ll definitely post more pictures and probably start a thread in SMTR, but I need to read up on how to take pictures first! The ones I took were terrible. My fiancee took these.

PushinCushion - I wear a 5 1/4. I did not talk to Mark about a WB sitting flush. This is what I wanted at first, but then decided I loved the look of the donut so much that I could deal with a gap. I did however tell him I wanted to WB to sit as close as possible given the design I wanted. Hope this helps!
