I need a new pair of strappy black heels, and I really love this pair that was posted in another thread here. However, I''ve never tried Ann Taylor''s shoes. For anyone who has, are they comfortable? Do they tend to run big or small? I''m either a 7 or 7.5 depending on the shoe and I''m not sure which way to go. I hate buying things that are non-refundable, but I really like the shoe.

hmmm...not sure about the non-refundable part, I would never buy something I couldn''t try on that I couldn''t return. But I do have 2 pairs of shoes from AT, and they are both pretty comfy. One is a higher-heeled brown peep-toe and the other is a shorter-helled black and white slingback. They were both pretty true to size - I usually wear a 6-6.5 (more towards the 6.5 in dress shoes usually), and I got a 6.5 in both.

My wedding shoes were Ann Taylor and they were true to size. I typically wear a 8-8.5 and wore an with them in an 8.

Comfort was good. My were open back, open toes, and strappy across the toes - kinda like the ones you posted but with no ankle thingy. I wore them for both our destination wedding (walking around the city) and at home reception (tons of dancing) and didn''t notice them hurting until the night ended and I took them off and felt relief (as I always do when wearing heels) but not actual pain while I was wearing them.

Thanks for the input, ladies! I''m still undecided, like you said AmberGretchen--I really hate that its non-refundable since I can''t try them on, but its nice to know their shoes tend to be comfortable. And Stardust--the size info is great, I''m between sizes and wasn''t sure which way to go, but if you''re in the same spot and went down, thats probably the best bet.
