~~VH1 will be airing yet another celebrity weddngs show!! The show is called The Fabulous Life of: Celebrity Weddings!! The show will air on these dates and at these times: 8/15 (6, 10 pm), 8/16 (1am), 8/17 (2pm), 8/19 (1pm), 8/20 (2am, 2:30pm), 8/21 (10am),and 8/22 (1:30am). So did anyone watch this last nite? TiVO caught it for me and Greg actually watched it with me, saying ''I can''t believe I am watching this with you, I so don''t want to but I can''t seem to MOVE''....

It was pretty good and lots of beautiful bling. They showed close ups of Nicole Richie''s ring and Paris Hilton''s two rings that she wore for a month to decide. Also, they said she got a 24 carat ring because she is 24 years old.

They basically talked about gowns, food, bling, engagements, entertainment and gifts of the weddings of the celebrities. Tori Spelling''s kept getting mentioned as did the Trumps'', they even showcased JLo and some others like Kelis and Naz etc.

Loved it!

I watched it this morning. It was good, but nothing too new.
It also makes me realize that I think I just want to elope... spending so much money for one day! I hope all these marriages last! I''ve been to weddings where a lot was spent and they were bad and where very little was spent and they were great... and vice versa.
I will be paying for the wedding myself, and I can fortunately afford to spend a lot if I want. But I really think a simple ceremony and a kick a$$ party is the way I want to go!

It''s a TV channel kind of like and MTV but with a broader viewer range.

They do these Fabulous Life Of.... (and fill it in with various celebrities or things)...show series.

AP...yeah these price tags on these weddings were astronomical!! I thought it was funny how they were pointing out that you just don''t register anywhere if you are the Trumps but didn''t they have an online registry at WS at some point?

I LOVED the Indian princess''s wedding in Versailles, wow $6m! I told Greg ''I hope that one lasts!!!''

The sad thing is that so many of these celebrity weddings DONT last and it seems like the lavishness just underscores how unstable their lives really are.

The cakes were something to see. Geez Donald Trumps cake weighed 200lbs and had something like 3000 sugar flowers on it.Holy cow.

I would have liked to see more bling.

Hopelessly romantic, I am all over wedding shows. Can''t imagine the budgets, but absolutely amazing.

I haven''t seen this version yet, but will watch for it.

Did anyone see the show that featured Star Jones wedding? She makes me crazy, it is all about her, the wedding was a total circus. Beyond excessive. Hope that one lasts.

I have never heard of Star Jones, she didn''t look like any kind of star to me ... what does she do? I tried to look her up on google, but couldn''t find anything like a biography.

And doesn''t Mrs Trump''s ring hurt her finger like Paris Hilton''s? My finger hurts just looking at it.

~~Cinnabear, I believe (someone correct me if I''m wrong) that Star Jones used to be a lawyer, and then she became a talk show host on a show called "The View". "The View" has 5 hosts (Star Jones, Barbara Walters, Meredith Viera, Joy Behar, and Elizabeth Hasslebeck).
~~I loved the show too (especially the bling)!! I think that some of the weddings were a bit excessive, but when you''re a celebrity, everything is bigger!!

OH YEAH Bling Diva, I was waiting for someone to mention that on here!! !Lots of sweet ice. Love looking at the celebs ring. And Paris''s new ring is too masculine for me. I would have gone with a big eternity ring with asschers or something rather than the wide etoile band.

~~Mara, I agree! I think Paris should have just gotten an eternity band (round brilliants maybe). I thought that the Cartier band was a little thick. What did you think about both of Britney''s rings? I actually like the first one better, but they are both blingtastic!! But, the biggest was what 51 carats... and we thought that Paris was overdoing it!! I wonder if Kimora''s hand ever "hurts" from carrying a 51 carat ring... I know mine would!!

It also said in the current issue that the average size of engagement rings in the US has risen to 1.4 carats according to some bigshot at theknot.com......that means my e-ring is now below average.

It was the gal at WeddingChannel who said the average ring is 1.4c and costs $4900. I was like..is that a K I1 from Zales??

Also the US weekly was from last week, you didn''t get it in the mail yet?!

Unfortunately our mailperson is either not wearing their glasses or is lazy, he leaves the bins here at around 11:30 and comes back around 1:30 to start sorting it into the boxes. This takes him another two hours. During the 11:30 - 1:30 time frame people can just take mail out of the bins and no one would have a clue. I didn''t think people would do that, but I witnessed someone doing it a few days ago. Our building is also 26 stories, we get mail that belongs to our neighbors and even people on other floors, if there is an 11 or a 22 in the address, chances are we will get it. It''s really a wonderful system. So, sometimes I think people get my magazines and I end up with their stupid NYS Teacher''s Association Bulletins, there is just no gossip in them.
