Update from the ten spot...
I haven''t been posting lately, just lurking a lot, but I definitely wanted to pop in and share some good news. FF and I have been waiting on a mortgage for an investment home of his since APRIL. We''ve talked to a good eight or so lenders, and spent hours on paperwork, appraisals, and contacting loan officers. FINALLY, last night, the BofA loan documents were signed. This mortgage effectively wraps up some pretty big payments of his on credit cards and also pays off a portion of his car. We were literally jumping up and down after the closing last night, we were so excited!
As we toasted with sparkling wine last night, I couldn''t help but be a little excited about the future. Now that this mortgage is done, FF only owes some money to his mother from fixing up the investment property. That is the last big hurdle to getting engaged for us.
Hopefully I''ll be posting a happy thread by next summer!
