My e-ring is WG and I received it in September. FI got it in June and it had to be resized because he originally told them the wrong size.

After about a month of wearing it, I noticed that the bottom of the ring (closest to the palm of my hand) was turning yellow.

I know that the rhodium plating will eventually wear off. Does it turn yellow that quickly or is it possible that they re-sized it and it that "sped up" the process? Is it customary to "re-dip" in rhodium after sizing and they forgot? It had a loose stone and so it''s at the jeweler right now getting tightened and re-dipped. I''m just curious to know if this is something I will have to do every 3 months.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!

Bethany :)

I got a brand new ring resized the day after I picked it up and it did turn yellow on the bottom, so yes, I''m sure it''s the resizing that did it.

Every WG ring I have had resized, except for one, has done the same thing. One even did it the day after I got it back from resizing. I am glad you asked because I always wondered about this too. I have always been told that they don''t know why it happens and they rhodium dip it for me at no cost. Funny thing is that the rings I buy that fit, and don''t need resized, never seem to wear away like that.
