What websites/vendors have all of you pricescopers had good luck with for finding distinctly *special* stones? I always enjoy looking at Jewels by Grace, but just spotted a gorgeous stone that @Resonance.Of.Life found (go peek over at show me the bling!) and they'd mentioned Jogani which @missy also vouched for! Aside from those 2 vendors are there others I should be checking out in hopes of finding something special? Heck, even just for drooling over! My budget is definitely smaller but I'm hoping to find something special for under $30k.

Are you looking for antique cuts specifically? Did you have a specific cut in mind? What size stone and any preferences to colour or clarity? It would help us narrow down our recommendations

Thanks for checking, sorry I wasn't clearer! I'm pretty open and am just looking for any quirkier cut stone options. I do really love step cuts, but am open to cushion, marquise, moval etc too. Rounds aren't my cup of tea and won't fit the ring I'm wanting to create, but anything else is pretty fair game. I'm wanting to get a decent amount of finger coverage, so I'm definitely more drawn to the much shallower or elongated stones. I know it's a very specific look that isn't for everybody but I like the more watery and less sparkly feel for this piece.

The top right most stone has been a front runner, but it's at the top of my budget and I feel like I'm just not looking in the right places for alternates.

I liked this stone, but have typically struggled with fluorescence on the few stones I've seen in person with it.

This stone also caught my eye, but it's smaller than I'm searching for as a chunky ring lover.

Adam at old world diamonds in nyc. Call him because his website isn’t representative of his amazing beautiful old cut pieces

Grace Lavarro at jewels by grace. Her website is incredible and her pieces gorgeous

ETA Oops sorry I see you already know about Grace.

88 Star Jewels, Old World Diamonds, Jogani Jewels ( he seems to have quite a few of the kind you like), Jewels by Grace, Rita on the Rocks, Sin City Finds, Dolly (The Bijoux Box), Parks Fine group, ect.

I would go with a vendor who typically has that style you are looking for!

Oh wow that is quite quirky but specific tastes, I am glad I asked!

Maybe these?

And further to add if you like watery - maybe consider rose cuts too

I was going to link that stone from Dolly! You beat me to it, Mary Jane. I love that ring.

AH Such a pretty ring! It's pending now sadly. Though it's probably a good thing as I think it would be criminal to remove the stone from the setting it was clearly meant to be in and I'm already working with a designer. The last thing my bank account needs is to add a vintage ring as a 2nd cheeky purchase :lol-2:

Thanks for all of the suggestions! Can't wait to do some more digging. Jogani has been the absolute best surprise of the day so far though, I hadn't seen them before so thank you for your other post! :kiss2:

I saw that the marquise was pending too…. I was SOOO close to buying that vs waiting to find my OEC. I was *THIS* close. That diamond was gorgeous.

A lot of the antique vendors have similar sources as far as diamonds go. So find the vendor you jive with for their style, return policy, responsiveness, etc. You have your budget, and figure out exactly what range of parameters for color/clarity of the stone you are wanting, and they should be able to work with you to find something special. Good luck!
