For sale is a pair of antique pink foil backed earrings I bought from @ihy138 in 2019.
I have them listed here:
As stated, I don't know much about these and I think they are a conversion effort of some sort. Quite pretty and wearable though, with nice movement. They move very nicely and are not heavy to wear.
Foiled, with closed backs, modern posts added. Kind of mystery earrings as to how they ended up and what they originally were and conversion of something. The hinge makes me think that these were a more recent conversion that is newer than the earrings, but that's just a best guess on my part.
These materials and colors were used in much older pieces, but I have never had these professionally evaluated because it didn't make sense at the price point. Link for reference as to an older piece below. I would put these at Victorian probably, but that's my educated guess as just a collector, not a dealer.
These mystery, but pretty, earrings were purchased by me at $385 plus shipping. I have them listed for $370 on LT.
It is also possible that these are paste stones, but they were sold to me as pink quartz. I am also thinking it's possible they are pink topaz, but again, they could be paste too.
Let me know if you have questions. However, very wearable, old pair of earrings with a lot of charm.
