I am a HUGE fan of the outerwear brand Mackage. I have a leather jacket, long trench, short wool and rain jackets from them and they are all sizes XS and are all comfortable in size. With the exception of the trench (because I don't normally wear it in weather that would require it) I can comfortably fit a blazer/sweatshirt underneath.
I have just purchased a long wool coat from them (the gloria) and I am sitting at home with an XS and a S right now and am torn!
The XS fits perfectly with normal clothing but is very snug and verging on uncomfortable when I put on a sweatshirt. The S is much more comfortable but even with my thickest of sweatshirts on still leaves extra room in the coat and I am not sure it looks as nice.
I am torn! What would you do? I feel like the rational thing to do is keep the bigger one since I would like to keep the coat for a while and bodies do change with time but also feel like I really would not feel comfortable being any bigger than I am right now.
