I just received this diamond and it is still in the range where it can be returned. I am very happy with its appearance. I am not looking for perfect in any way (which I am aware that it is not) but wanted to know if there are any red flags2.11Diamond.jpg as to the stability, etc. of the diamond. Sorry, but no Aset image. Thanks in advance!

With 35/41/56/15.5 I’m not seeing huge red flags. You’re also aware of the SI1 inclusions, and for the most part they’re white. Let’s see what the experts have to say.

I tried to find the video and couldn’t. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

I would normally be worried about 41/35 along with deepness, but I also don't see huge red flags. If someone can find a video I could help more.

Here is the site which shows the video. Thanks again!

I don't mind it. The arrows are thick, which I like. If the price was fair I think this is likely to be nice IRL

Thank you for your comment! It is very nice IRL but I was just worried that there may be some red flags due to the inclusions.

Ah, I know nothing about inclusions and their effect on diamond stability. @Karl_K, @DejaWiz, @Kim N, @0-0-0, @Dreamer_D?

Seems like some crystals, feathers and needles. Maybe some close to the girdle? I'm eager to learn something new.

As far as I know it’s mostly a mind clean thing unless there are inclusions reaching the surface. Keep in mind any faceted diamond has been under much higher stress on the polishing wheel than is likely in normal everyday wear. Of course if you happen to knock a diamond hard at an unlucky angle it can chip or fracture, but that can happen regardless of clarity.

Yup, that's my understanding too

not to be a wet blanket but if this is a 41 35 combo with wide arrows it needs advanced images.
There are a lot of combos in that gia rounding many of which demand longer lowers(smaller arrows 80% gia 77+ actual) to avoid significant under table leakage.

inclusions it depends on who you ask.
My opinion is no cavities and no knots and not a large amount of dense clouds and watch out for graining.
Feathers open to the table can be an issue.
With a reasonable girdle im not super worried about feathers reaching the girdle unless huge in a rb.
Anything near a point in cuts that have them is a no go.
Im not at my computer to look at the pics closely so this is a generic answer.

I think inclusions are rarely an issue in an SI1. I found a thread on PA where they interviewed like 6 different experts from the forum and most basically said you don’t need to worry until you get the I1 territory.

Regarding mind clean, I really have no problem with where the inclusions are. If they were in the center of the diamond, that would definitely be a no for me. Thank you for your response!

Thanks for the link. Since I already bought this one and am very happy with it, now that I know there are no red flags, I will stay with my present diamond.

Just for informational purposes, here is the Pricescope Blog post I was referencing earlier. Reading it made me much more comfortable with some old cuts I own that have some scary inclusions.

Hey, you should check out this new site, www.yourdiamondguys.com. It’s got this cool AI that scans for inclusions and weeds out the bad ones, so you only see the best diamonds with nice imperfections. Plus, there’s tons of info on there to help you out.

Very interesting site! I don't quite understand how the Depth is fail at 0/5, the Girdle is VG at 4.8/5, but the Cut Score is Excellent.

Ignore this. It's someone spamming their new website, which is probably nonsense
