Anybody use a Neck Cloud?

I had a break to my C7 vertebrae 17 years ago, which wasn’t pretty due to nerve damage but could have been much worse.

Over the years since then, my posture has become more rounded forwards & I have developed a dowagers type hump. This together with poor posture (I always seem to be leaning forwards & have to make a conscious effort to stand straight, chin up, shoulders back, pelvis forwards & down, not back & up) has started to cause issues such a neck pain, pain at the base of my skull when turning my head sometimes (but not always) & tension headaches / pressure in my head.

I see an Osteopath regularly & had physiotherapist for years after the accident, but recently found myself buying a Nck Cloud on recommendation. Admittedly it feels uncomfortable when I first lie on it (which i think is a good thing as it highlights how poor my posture is) & then somewhat dizzy when I first get up after 10 minutes, but then I feel ok for a while & the pressure feeling in my head eases.

Anyone else used one & had good results for a hunched posture & cervical hump? Or did you do something else & how long did it take to see results?

I use one although don't have a big posture/hunching issue. I had a whiplash injury years ago after being ridden into full speed by a cyclist going through a red light and have had loads of physio. Although it's gotten a lot better over the years, my neck still occasionally really seizes up and I find the cloud used about 5x/week helps keep that from happening.

Did you start at one minute and work up to 10? I think it's important to acclimate slowly. And are you sure you have it in the right position? I tend to sort of move it slightly during the time so it's not hitting the same place for the entire time.

Thanks for your reply & ouch! Sorry to hear about your accident.

Yes - I have built up to 10 minutes over the last couple of months & was shown by the physio how to position it correctly, which is further towards my shoulders than I imagined. It does feel as though it helps, but I wondered how other people find it. I have always suffered on & off with neck issues / pain / cold since my accident, so anything I can do to help I am wiling to try.

I'm following this as I have some of the same issues. I hope others chime in.
