First and foremost, thanks to everyone who''s ever responded to my posts and all those who share their great knowledge and have helped me be a more informed consumer!

So my bf and I are coming up on our 2 year anniversary in August, and we''ve been through quite a bit in our short time together, and I couldn''t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. The past few days we went back and forth about a specific stone and cost and each time there was a high/dip... I felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride! I had fallen in love with the stone and each time he said "no", it tore me apart.

Anyway, we are about to wire GOG the balance for the stone... and then have the stone set at our jeweler! I''m beyond happy and excited, but how do I wait patiently for the stone to be set and onto my finger! Any tips? Also... if you were getting a 2ct round... what solitaire settings do you like?

(We''ve done the ring process so far together, and we''ll pick the setting too. But the proposal is all on him)

Btw, I LOVE this setting that kittygirl has https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/over-thanksgiving-in-costa-rica.73680/ i hope she doesn''t mind me posting it. It''s a leon mege. and I keep coming back to this setting after looking at tons of other solitaires...

But I''m not sure it''s worth spending more on the ring right now... so I''m debating to put it in a plain setting, and then upgrade the setting later...

I know my boyfriend will have the ring this coming week, and i know the engagement will be in a few months and im driving myself insane!

Ive taken up scrapbooking :)

AND PRICESCOPE, of course!

HAha I''ve actually thought about taking up scrapbooking too! It might keep me extra busy. I''m itching to look at wedding stuff, but believe that if I start to plan before being officially engaged... it might be bad juju!

Thanks for the idea =)

WELL---As a veteran of waiting, this is the advice I can give:

First and foremost, my SO has had the ring for 8 months now and the proposal is coming this month.

I have noticed that when I am busy, I don''t think about it as much. It''s when I have nothing to do that I think about it and then getting annoyed, antsy, etc.

Just try to keep yourself busy and entertained.

Come post on PS...its kept me pretty busy :)

Also, just enjoy the ride. Enjoy the anticipation, enjoy the imaginary scenarios you make up in your mind of how he''ll propose and just enjoy the journey because its the first and last time you''ll get to experience this (hopefully).

you can''t.... you''ll just get more anxious by the second.
