So after quietly trying to absorb as much information as possible, it seems to be the time to proceed with finding a new stone. I’ve reached out to an Australian diamond broker but wanted to see if anyone could find any other possibilities?

These are my parameters:-

Marquise
Earth mined, no lab grown at all
Needs to be larger then 1.5ct
Prefer a longer stone rather then chubby - length / width ratio I prefer over 2
I also would prefer a minimum length of 12mm
Eye clean from 12”-15”
As white as possible, I would prefer D-I but will look at any stone
No huge bow tie

Biggest catch - want to stay under $10k USD.

So if anyone is bored and likes looking for great deals I would appreciate your assistance.

Hi. I just started looking. N’t quite long enough and l/w is 1.848. So far only coming up with I for color. I’m babysitting and they’re both asleep, so I’ll keep looking.

I’m fairly new at this and don’t quite understand the level of SI inclusions that are acceptable. So, I’m just going to post what I find close to your parameters.

The link works to take you to LaurenB, but not to the specific diamond..

Not having much luck.

Perhaps worth reaching out to Ivy & Rose to see if they can send you a video of this 1.7ct G-SI2 marquise (EGL cert)? The listing says it is white facing and eye clean, length is just over 12mm, and 2:2 ratio ... not sure how prominent the bowtie is and would want to know what the grade making inclusions were/are ... but perhaps a potential candidate?

@marymm that was one I’ve been looking at - they are selling it either as a loose stone or in a setting with baguettes for a thousand dollars more. It is pretty deep so I’m not sure if that’s the cause of the bow tie - but I was going to ask them for a video.

Is 1.5 carat a hard requirement? You can get to 12mm in a long marquise at slightly lower weights if you're looking at longer rather than chubbier is a thing you really like. It might help you expand your search a little bit.

This isn't a perfect example it falls slightly short, but it illustrates what I mean.

1.2 carat, 2.23 ratio, D, VVS2, 11.88 x 5.32 x 3.26 mm. $10,648

@DiamondWhiteCat i would prefer it - when I turned 50 my husband started looking for a 1 carat but children and expensive sports got in the way. I jokingly said that now I would be looking for a 1.5-2 carat since I’m now 52!

Have you checked b2cjewels?

Has anyone posted this one? Not quite 12 mm (11.66mm) but very close. I think you can get 2% with Rakuten, too.
