Hi there...I lurked here for longer than I care to admit and have only posted a couple of times, but I finally got DH to take decent pics of my Marquise solitaire and my wedding band.

Solitaire:
1 cttw
Color H,
Clarity SI1
The setting is cathedral with 5 channel-set diamonds on each side.
I got this solitaire before I discovered PS, but I still love it because it was an upgrade, and it actually sparkles a lot.

Band:
Eternity, bead set
.50 cttw
Color G
Clarity SI1

Hopefully there are some people on here that still like Marquise!

This pic is of the set together.

This is the solitaire by itself.

Another of the solitaire alone. Sorry these are kind of blurry!

Very, very pretty. Marquise are hard to photograph IMHO so I bet it looks even more gorgeous in person. I love your band with the Marquise.

Lisa, you''re right about them being hard to photograph...that''s why I recruited DH, ''cause I was REALLY no good at it!

Good to see a marquise here!

I predict we will see a lot more in the next few years

Hi Bebe!
I think you are correct. I know a LOT of people do like them set east-west...I have given that some thought but need adequate time for DH to get past this upgrade first...

lovely! it''s so elegant!

pardon my naivete... but what does DH stand for?

Great set!!!! your marquise looks very pretty!

Cleo,
Sorry! DH is short for Dear Husband.
I probably should have just said "hubby" but I was so excited to get those pics up, I abbreviated it.

A very pretty marquise. I particularly like the setting, too, as well as the band. Both very classic and sparkly.

I love it, looks gorgeous!!

Beautiful! I just love the setting... Your finger is covered in sparkle!

Gorgeous! Love the marquise - such a fun shape and one you don''t see as much anymore. Very cool.

That''s a beautiful set!

I love the mix of shapes with rounds/center marquise. I really adore fancy shapes. They draw my eye because I don''t see them as often, and this is a very pretty, very eye catching set!

HI:

I love marquise--your set in lovely!

cheers--Sharon

Beautiful, congrats!

It looks really pretty and BIG on your hand - I wouldn''t consider resetting it E/W - I think it looks fantastic in a more traditional setting - I''m a fan!!!!!!!

I love your set. There is something about the marquise that just intrigues me. I could look at that all day!

You guys are all so sweet!

~Kat

Your set is bea utiful...love it!
