I have wanted a good crossover vehicle for a long time now...I''m just tired of my *real* SUV, and want something that is up on room and down on gas!

I have looked at literally every crossover on the market...and I have finally decided (I think) on a Mazda CX-9. I was wondering if anyone here has one, and what their feelings are on this car? I''d be buying a 2008 Grand Touring, fully loaded....so even your thoughts on their navigation, heated seats, whatever would be much appreciated!!

I''m not sure if this is an allowed topic, forgive me if it isn''t...but I''m car shopping and thought I''d ask!

Thanks in advance for your time!

Sure, it''s an "allowed" topic, IHC! I don''t have any personal experience with the vehicle you''re looking into buying but maybe someone else here on PS does. Have you researched this particular make/model on consumerreports.org or edwards? those are both great car buying advice websites and objective...I''ve used them both in the past and felt like they are great research tools besides word of mouth (which is also invaluable.) Best of luck in your decision! Hopefully someone else here will chime in with more relative experience re. this particular car.

I don''t own one, but the husband and I test drove one and we loved it. I think that it''s a great price point for the features that you get on the car. It is definitely a "sportier" car as far as the road feel, but we''re young and it''s a positive for us. For a more refined drive you could look at the Hyundai Veracruz or the Buick Enclave.

Thanks Lindsey and Monach...I appreciate your thoughts!

My husband and I both pretty young...under 30. It is a reasonable price point, but we want to load it up with TV''s and Navigation. We tested the Enclave, and my husband hated it...

Looks like we''re buying a Mazda!

I have a Mazda 3 and love it! (However it stinks in this Chicagoland snowstorm) but that''s the only downside. I don''t think you would have the same traction and tail-spin issues I have.

I think the CX-9 it''s a very cute car! (Sorry, I''m a girl..I say cars are cute!)

It looks really nice. I love the red/purple color.

I looked into this car, but didn''t love the interior look and layout.

Ended up with a Hyundai Santa Fe. While not exactly a high end crossover, really love the car, esp. for the value.

Also, gotta love love love heated seats!

Sorry I''m not much more help!
