Tiaras are not for me. I''m wearing a simple comb veil headpiece, and I am probably going to wear my hair somewhat loose and natural. I would like SOME adornment, maybe a pretty barrette or something for the side of my head. Anyone know where I can get something great?

I''m attaching a picture of my dress - sort of simple, a little vintage. I''m wearing vintage-inspired jewelry to go with it.

beautiful dress! What does the other jewelery you are wearing look like? Do you want the barrette to kind of match in with the rest? Or is it ok if it''s different?

Beautiful dress! Who makes that? It''s just lovely and understated.

For combs I would start at White Aisle, but also check out http://www.etsy.com. It''s a bit of a pill to navigate, but some of the vedors have great stuff and most will customize their items for you if you like a style but not a color, etc.

thanks, partyjewels and merco! It's the "libby" by Maggie Sottero. It's 10X more beautiful in person. I don't have pictures of the jewelry yet but the style is a lot like my engagement ring - sort of art deco, with lots of milgrain and little diamonds. The pendant I'm wearing is aquamarine with a pretty sort of halo and a bejeweled chain. I don't know about earrings yet but they'll probably be studs. I don't like matchy-matchy so nothing is a "set."

oh and i meant to mention:::

hope much i ADORE your dress!!! it''s SO fabulous!! and i think it''s going to go very well with a vintage type bridal comb.
you''re going to be gorgeous!

These are great ideas. Carolee.com has some great hair combs. They''re under the "bridal" section, and they''re all very "non-bridal" priced!

ooohhh....what do you guys think of this headband?

I wish I had pics of the necklace I''m wearing because it has a little diamond every inch or two, sorta like this headband does. But does it go with the dress?

Honestly ... maybe I''m just cheap ... but I got my rhinestone hair clip at Claire''s in the maul. It was one of my final purchases & I''d just stopped caring about things being the best/most classy/fantabulous things people have ever seen ... or how "me" they were and I was running out of $$ & patience!

tberube - what color is your hair? I love your dress and I like the headband you found, but I worry if the headband would get lost in your hair since it is so low. If you have dark hair, I think it could work. If your hair is on the lighter side, I''m not sure. btw, I want to add, I love your dress. I can''t wait to see pictures of you in it

Y'know, when I was finding the the link that head band caught my eye. I like how the bands echo your dress, but I didn't want to presume- some people really hate head bands.

So yes

I do think it would work!

ALJ!!! REALLY?! I mean really really? How could I give you peace of mind that they would be safe? What kind of collateral could I give you? After the GTG I went home and told FI that you offered to let me borrow them and his eyebrows went up a mile! I''m not sure he believed me - heck I almost thought I dreamed it, which is why I didn''t ask you again afterward.....

....wow that would be fantastic. I''m not sure I''ll even need anything in my hair if I had those...

Hmmm - you could be right, gtn. I hadn''t thought of that. My hair is highlighted blonde, kinda sandy blonde.

I have peace of mind they''ll be safe; they''ll be with a PSer. Can''t get much safer than that!

Ahaha. I''m no help on the barette, but I just saw your dress and thought ''Hey, that reminds me of MY dress'' and then realized that on my dress fitting thread you had said "Hey, your dress reminds me of MY dress." So, uh, yeah, hey there dress twin. Or at least dress-sibling. Nice taste.
