18.69 carats? I was hoping for closer to 20. Guess I will have to pass on this one.

Geesh! Can't even imagine! And what kind of "disposable" income must one have to pay $50m for a diamond? Granted, I understand that this isn't your typical diamond and therefore there is so much more potential for investment. But still, you'd have to have $50m not earmarked for anything else in order to acquire it. I think I could pony up maybe $500, but that'd be pushing it. LOL!

Beautiful. For most of us there are pink sapphires. For the buyer with distinctive tastes and unlimited funds there is this gorgeous diamond.
 
I'll pass, it's just a little too big for my taste. ;) That is a STUNNING diamond!

I am just amazed how the pink hue varies under different light settings...I guess it happens to all kinds of "rocks" we like here on PS.
 
reviving an old thread -- but it's here @ Christies on preview!!... NY ladies can just stop in and drool on it in person... truly no good words, so here are two pictures through the glass....:rolleyes2:

With nothing familiar in the pictures to give a sense of scale, those last two items look like they are enormous lol

I would buy it but I prefer yellow.
 
yeah - there really is nothing there for scale (unless I put myself in the picture, LOL) - its just kinda floating there on that lucite rod -- but the butterfly & flower piece were huge (think palm sized)... I was about the same distance from all three
