Anyone want to dress me?

At the end of this month, we are having our engagement pictures taken at the beach. So who has any ideas of what to wear for this? I don''t really want to do the white dress. I do want a skirt or dress, in a lighter color, (I have read that richer colors don''t work so well in photographs in the sun. Is that even true?) that isn''t going to ballon out if the wind is blowing. I really am lost. Help!

Don''t wear green if you might have black and white pictures - it looks lackluster grey.

Keep it very simple.

I would look at express. They don''t have the colors on their website, but there dress tend to come in a lot of colors, be very flattering and not terribly expensive, certainly a lot cheaper than jcrew. Its worth a look.

Fi and I took our pics outside and I wore a navy cotton knee-length skirt with a white beachy-tunic shirt. He wore khaki linen pants with a light yellow polo. I''d definitely recommend cotton or linen because it seems really beachy!

check out Delias. they have a ton of cute cotton dresses for summer. i think this one might be especially fitting for the beach, but there are soo many other cute ones also.

Delias does have cute clothes but the only problem I have with them is that they are really made for Juniors so if you have any type of curves or you are petite their clothes don''t look all that good on you

Thanks for the opinions girls! You would think that this wouldn''t be the thing that I am most stressed about. FI decided last night that he wanted to wear the shirt that he proposed in (he did it at the beach which is why we are having our pictures there). It''s a brown & white polo - large stripes of brown and white. Should I try to talk him out of that or would that be okay?

this is probably going to sound silly, but make him put it on and take a pic of him outside. that way you''ll know whether he''ll look washed out, as white near the face can sometimes do that. if it looks bad, you have proof, haha, and if it looks good, enjoy your sigh of relief!
