Anyone worked with ThaiGemsCo at Etsy before? Are they reliable?

Never heard of them but just took a look.

Photos look pretty fair, imo. Not sure how accurate the colors are but they are at least all different and not the insane neon-vivid like so many other sites. I see a few reports among the higher-end stones -- mostly GRS. Prices look competitive to me. There was a 5- or 6-ct heated blue with a decent report that looked unexpectedly reasonable, imo.

You can start with a low-stakes item. I have done that before. And then generally not had the confidence I needed to take the second step...

EDIT: I think the reputable vendors want to build a relationship. The ones who just want to move product don't care about repeat business.

I didn't mean don't do it. I would maybe start small in this situation.

I think the photos are fairly "warts-and-all" so, assuming the item actually shows up, it's likely to be OK.

I am a little wary of direct-to-consumer gem vendors in Thailand in general -- but I may have been ruined by seeing so much terrible stuff on eBay over the years. Others here may have more -- or more favorable -- experience.

I actually do not have much experience for buying stone and finding vendor to set the stone. Most of the jewelries I owned are pre-set for me already.I think I will start with the forum recommended vendors first. Thank you for your inputs.

I’m asking as it can affect the type of responses you receive. For example, if you are asking for opinions on certain gemstones, some members may not comment if they think it is for your commercial use e.g. for resale.

If this is incorrect, and you are not actually in the Trade, you can ask the Admin to change it for you.

I have been on this forum for several years but Only decided to register recently cause I have seven stones that need to be set.
