I don't think so. But, I didn't watch the dateline special. What did it look like?

I have been entertained by the apprentice. But, all my energies have been focused on American Idol. Can't handle too many reality shows.

I think a lot of the women on the Apprentice had some nice studs! I think Katrina's had the biggest though.

Attention... Guy/Pig statement:

I guess it could be argued that Katrina was the hottest and therefore got the biggest rock. She's tall, extremely thin, wears super high heels, super short skirts, and works in real estate so she's around people with money all the time.

(She claimed to the one of the top 3 real estate agents in the US. I doubt it. Maybe in her firm, which they don't say what that is.)

Now, personally... in just attractiveness, I favor Erika who got booted early on.

But if I could pick from anyone?... I'd pick my GF for whom I'm shopping for right now. She's clearly the hottest girl around.

Vertical: Ahhh... but what's the daimond size? (Just kidding!!!)

*Warning catty opinionated girl comment*

Ok, I take offense to the whole Erika being the hottest woman there and Katrina. I take offense, because it offends my sense of good taste. All the women on the Apprentice were a WEE bit too revealing with their short skirts and very cookie cutter looks as well as pushy, snippy little harlots.

Me personally, if you are a business woman, intent on making it big in a male dominated field while being publically televised, I WOULD NOT be wearing what they wore or acting as they did for all the world to see!

None of them were very attractive in my opinion. They look the same as every women in NYC. Fake blonde highlights, fake tans, too much make up and cheap fakes for clothing, trying too hard to look good.

Also, I hate to admit it, but beauty and success tend to sadly go hand in hand. In a real estate field, Katrina may have done well for herself for being attractive enough and may have snagged herself an attractive man (who by being attractive is also more likely to become successful). I am not being a jerk, just reiterating other people's theories of beauty and success...

Also maybe the reason why none of the women actually WON on the show is beacause they indeed paid more attention to their hemlines, and their catty costar women to be productive and smart!

I only watched one episode of this show, so I'm just speaking generally in saying that TV is about short skirts, skimpy shirts with boobs popping out, and fake tans & fake everything else and this is what everyone expects to see so this is what the Apprentise producers shell out to us all regardless of what the show was about and what the main objective of this particular reality based show was about. NONE of TV represents true real people and if it did, how many of us would watch? I guess people LIKE looking at fake people as most of these shows seem to attract millions of viewers who like to look at "glamorous???"
rolleyes.gif
individuals and we don't see as many of the Average Joe type shows.

FWIW, I honestly don't think success has ANY place in this Apprentise show or on any of the other reality shows about marriage and all that. It's all representative of our plastic society and our pathetic appeal towards these people and the end result is truly about making a buck off our need to watch this crap not what anyone is really achieving in the REAL world!

(oh and I'm adding that I"m not at all trying to argue w/you, I just can't stand TV so I'm venting my frustrations. . .Plus, reality tv is ALL the moms I know ever talk about and it's driving me nuts! I wish someone would read a book for a change!

Actually, it was reported that Katrina performed in the top 3% of all agents, which I can believe, if she's the go-getter she seemed to be. All of the contestants were very type-A, achieving people. Her ring seemed lovely.

I wasn't too much for Omarosa's ring, but then again, I wasn't so much for Omarosa, who seemed to lack a sense of moral refinement, despite putting herself forward as the over-achieving former beauty queen. I think that she was truly the conniving one. The other girls simply used their sexuality to make a sale. And while it was the girls against the guys, it clearly seemed to work - they kicked butt. Yeah, I wasn't thrilled with the short skirts, but then again, maybe I was a little jealous.

Doubt that the ring was product placement.

Cheers,

I do agree with Nic that no self-respecting entreprenerial woman would have conducted themselves in the manner that the female contestants had done.

... and the show wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining!

And really, that's what the show was. Entertainment. I'm sure there were perfectly well qualified women (who showed up in a nice pant-suit and posture-healthy pumps) that were pushed aside for the light-headed cheerleaders of America.

I am surprised that there wasn't at least one reasonably normal, forward-thinking chick on the show though... b/c that would have releaved the other dilemma for women in the workplace:

Why is it that hard working, cut-to-the-chase kind of women are considered anti-family biachesses and the same quality in men are considered business-minded?

Hey, come on... I'm not a pig ALL the time!

PS: I would be interested in seeing a picture of her e-ring though... if not to just get this topic back on track! My bad!

A group of people compete with business related tasks to win a spot working under Donald Trump. Each week The Donald

boots out a person by firing them.

Oh and there are fake boobs (possibly, but this has not been confirmed0, fake tans, fake hair colors, short skirts, hook-ups, verbal cat fights, and down right nasty name calling, lying, pettiness, backstabbing...Wait... Am I missing anything?

Great show, loved it! Honestly the ONLY reality show I actually went home on time to see!

The Apprentice

Ok, at the risk of being a big nerd, I liked the show for it's business savvy skills, and for the mistakes people made. I actually took lessons from their "skills" and "mess-ups", honestly and evaluated their performance and entrepreneurs.

I read the Art of the Deal. I grew up with a dad that was so Donald (business-wise) that it all feels almost sadly familiar. So I appreciate the tasks and was interested to see who was "the whole package"... (funny I guessed Troy or Bill...)

I also worked in law firms with many ambitious women. I have had the very distinct pleasure of dealing with some of the most professional and smart women who knew you didn't need to be a orthopedic, pants suit woman, or a beotch to make it in the working world. Sadly, some career women don't understand that it's a balance of power that is difficult to achieve when women go to extreme sterotypes and ruin it for the rest. We had a client from Texas tell us he didn't want a femal lawyer because they either dress all pretty and distract him, or they just look like "something out of a damned dykes yearbook"....great!

By the way, heels are appropriate under a well fitted pinstripe suit (cut femininely) and a smart woman doesn't need to be a bitch to be taken seriously.

But I suppose to be on a reality TV show there is OTHER criteria!
