Yes. DF do you ever have anything subtantive to add? Or are you purely ornamental?

you guys never seen a statue of DF?

If there is a coat of paint, why isn''t there a vest of paint?
If b-o-u-g-h spells bough, why doesn''t c-o-u-g-h spell cow?

Why are cats the way they are?
Why is a good 10 carat marquise so hard to find?

How come I don''t know anybody that wears a size 3 ring?

Is there any difference between ketchup and catsup?

Is he even ornamental?

I always wondered what people look like behind the screen names (is there a thread for this?). On my dog forum, people frequently share photos of their furkids plus themselves but here .. we only see fingers :P

i always want to know what people do for a living. i never have the nerve to ask.

I believe there is a thread on both topics..what people do for a living, and what members look like. I always wanna know how other members get their avatars to look so clear, crisp, & unsmooshed..more like the actual photo I am trying to display!

Beau, that one is fairly easy. All the avatars are 96x96, which means it''s perfectly square. Your current av is a portrait (rectangular) photo so when you upload it, it will smoosh up short making your face look wide and squatty.

To get it square you either have to crop the pic short or add something on the sides to give it more width. In this case, I cropped it until it was perfectly square, then reduced the size down to 96x96.

Gypsy...are you a real Gypsy?
gypsy: One inclined to a nomadic, unconventional way of life. OR A person who moves from place to place as required for employment or (modern day) for education.

By the dictionary definition above: Yes. I have been for some years. Thank you for asking.

Yes, I always wonder what the women (or their husbands) with the HUGE (5 ct and up) diamonds do for a living. That way I can encourage my husband to enter that same line of work now that he has his MBA
emwink.gif

This may sound bad, but I also wonder how the heck so many of us have so much free time to spend on PS, myself included
emteeth.gif
Now that I''m a SAHM, I get online while my son is asleep or watching a video, but I could never have gotten away with this many hours online when I was still working - if I had a job that I could hang out on PS all day, maybe I would go back to work
emotion-5.gif

Also, do your husbands also think that you''re a bunch of diamond psychos for being on PS? I think that my husband found my favorites folders with all my PS favorite rings, and he hasn''t looked at me the same way since
emembarrassed.gif
Is this type of obsession normal, or do we deserve to have a new disorder in the DSM IV named after us?

Go into sales and work from home! Hee, it''s awesome. I figure the amount of time I spend on PS is nowhere near the time people waste gabbing away at offices!

I always wonder what people do for a living. Especially those that have $$$ jewelry.

I too, wonder why I don''t know anyone in real life with this crazy small ring sizes - 3??? How much do you weigh? Even the skinny people I know don''t have fingers THAT small!

Go with TGal''s suggestion, or have a job where you''re paid to wait around for other people to finish doing their jobs before you can do your job

like me!

My husband has that kind of blocked-time sometimes too... he''s the last in a chain of production (for lack of a better word), so while "production" starts at 10am when he arrives at work, there are lots of processes that it has to go through before it can go through his process... so he has some days where he sits around waiting for work to be handed to him until 3pm, then he has to blitz like crazy to get it done by 6:30 or stay late.

Also, do your husbands also think that you''re a bunch of diamond psychos for being on PS? I think that my husband found my favorites folders with all my PS favorite rings, and he hasn''t looked at me the same way since
Aw! I don''t think so, I even show him the ones I think are the prettiest (and he is a very good sport and participates in that a bit)... but I think he knows that I''m here mostly for idle chatter (and the occasional help-me-pick-a-diamond/setting/wedding gown contribution) and not to just stare stare stare.

Nah....my BF is usually on his computer looking at his auto racing and wood working forums. I was afraid to tell him about my jewelry fascination at first, but when I did, he had no problem with it. He said he was happy I was interested in something outside of my profession.
