Are these conditions identical to the way lab-grown diamond are produced?

I appreciate your time in reading this post. I found this on an earth science website, and I’m wondering if these are the exact same conditions used to create HTHP diamonds in a laboratory: “ When the pressure is about 50,000 times the pressure at the surface of the Earth and the temperature is about 1600°C, the carbon atoms bond with 4 other atoms and result in diamonds.” Thank you.

From what I can find with a quick web search, it's close.

HPHT needs a seed diamond to start is a large difference so its just a portion of the natural process.
We do not know the entire natural process.

I understood some of Deja Wiz’s response (I do not know what GPa is, but I I’m assuming it’s something scientific and beyond my understanding.). Karl K, may I ask what a seed diamond is? I have a basic understanding of this, but want to ask you anyway. And how does one procure a seed diamond in order to grow a regular size diamond, for lack of a better description? (I don’t mean a lay person procuring a seed diamond. I mean however the folks that make diamonds in a lab procurer seed diamonds). Thank you both.

GPa = GigaPascals.
See the bottom/second picture in my previous post.

A seed diamond is just a very small slice of pure carbon crystal, usually graphite or diamond harvested from another diamond crystal.

A seed diamond is just a small slice of diamond.
The size and shape of the seed depends on the process and desired outcome.
Both HPHT an CVD processes use seed diamonds.
The specifics are trade secrets.

From where is the small slice of diamond procured? How do they get the small slice of diamond?

Laser cutting then polishing bits of diamond.
At first only mined material was used for seeds but now some are using LGD seeds
.
