Are these prongs okay?

Hi everyone,

I asked for V-shaped prongs and that's not what I got. I attached the picture of the ring. Jeweler says these are very protective and will be okay protecting the stone. Please let me know what you think.

I'm not an expert, but I do know that the corners of a princess cut do need more protection. I'm not sure how pointy a claw can be on a corner?

Your photo is not great, but it is clear the setter was competent as the inside of the prongs have been burred out so the stone is securely set.
These will look better and catch less than Vee caps but wear out quicker.
Swings and roundabouts.
I think the picture shows what I mean.
The wear does not mean you will lose the stone - it means the point of the diamond is likely to poke thru the sides and that WILL CHIP.
