Hi guys,

I am in the market for a pair of stud, 1.0-1.2tcw (size is not my priority!).
I asked for the best cut possible.

I contacted one of the most beloved vendors here and he offered a pair, 1.2tcw.
Every spec exceeded what I asked for, and was within my budget. But I would like to ask for your opinions on the cut.

Diamond A (GIA xxx) 0.6ct
Depth: 61.9
Table: 57
Crown Angle: 36
Pavilion Angle: 40.8

Diamond B (GIA xxx) 0.6ct
Depth: 61.5
Table: 57
Crown Angle: 34.5
Pavilion: 40.6

I ran the HCA and Diamond A scored over 3, I think it was 3.5 or something), and Diamond B scored 0.8. They told me Diamond A has a bit of light leakage, but it performs visually the same with B, and it is difficult to notice differences side by side. I always thought HCA score over 2 is a drop, but since I trust what he said (and I am tired of searching), I am thinking about just going for it.

Do you guys think there will be a noticeable performance difference between these two stones? I can get 1.0 ctw ACA probably with the same price, but I just liked the vendor so I want to buy from him if this pair is still a very good one for studs. What do you guys think? Should I just go for ACA 1.0 tcw or stick to Pricescope quality pair 1.2tcw?

Any opinion is appreciated!!

If size isn't a priority and you want the best cut, I wouldn't go with a stone that has light leakage. I vote ACA all the way . And if you ever change your mind on size, WF has a generous upgrade policy.

I'd definitely choose the Whiteflash ACAs. I actually did and upgraded them multiple times, even when I was SURE I wouldn't go larger! I'll never have regrets over choosing the best cut for my studs.

Thank you all! I went with super ideal cuts. I realized that I have to get mind-clean stones! I didn’t want to invest hours just trying to get something close to super ideals, and end up with stones that bother me. Thank you again everyone!
