I''m going to be the maid of honor for my friends wedding in May ( probably already mentioned this) Today she asked me to help her find a ring cause she is ulta busy, she doesn''t like diamonds and wants something with sapphires , rubies, or some other colorful hard stone in a half eternity band type style, and belive it or not I can''t find anything with just plain colored stones with no added diamonds, any ideas?? She isn''t super traditional.

If it helps, I found an eternity type band set w/tzarvorites (spelling), on, believe it or not, Amazon.com last spring. Setting was 14k wg, and I just wanted it to wear w/my peach diamond, to show off the contrast.

Maybe something like that?

And for the hardness issue, i'd stick with ruby&sapphire (same stuff) and if she wants green I'd still think sapphire and who knows? maybe tsavorite, but NO emerald.

The overall description hint to custome settings to me, so i'd start by sending the link to the last site on the list to the friend and ask her for a more precise description. An e-mail with a Q for quotes usually gets a quick response there.

There are some new sapphire bands (some not under "sapphie" but under the "all rings" section) approximating your description.

I.K.,

I have no idea on the quality of any of the items on that site, I've never bought anything there. It was the only place I'd seen something similar to what you described. Just thought I'd share a picture to help your friend visualize what such a ring would look like.

Well she liked some of the engraved stuff on jewelry expert so thats good. One down.

The Tiffany Etoile band comes in sapphire or ruby (and of course diamond). Maybe that's an option?

And it was a really nice ring BTO very similar to what she's looking for, thanks for posting it.
