This is a ring that I had to get once I saw it. The center diamond is only 0.25ct so smaller than I usually like, but the fact that it is so lively and it's beautiful setting made up for it's small size.
The center is a 0.25ct transitional diamond with a small culet and low crown but it has that beautiful chunky facet pattern. It is crazy white, I would guess in the D-F area since I do not see the difference with an E but do see a difference with an H. Oh and completely eye clean.
The setting has three tiny french cuts on each side and is probably from 1921. They are the same color as emeralds but I do not think they are actual emeralds since they are very clean, definitely not loup clean but nearly eye clean. The frenchies are channel set and from a normal distance all you see is a band of lush green with a sparkly diamond in the middle. The channel has absolutely tiny milgrain, which has been worn away in some places. The band also has some type of carving/engraving? on the band which is worn away in parts.
It is all 18kt white gold and since the shank is really thin (ca 1.5-1,8mm) and has been worn a lot, it is really out of round and one of the frenchies is cracked.
Anyone that can help me understand how to take good close up shots? I totally suck at photografy.
