Eh, it's not absolutely necessary for this particular diamond, but I'd still consider it a crucial part of the assessment and validation phase pre-purchase. Especially if the price tag means that a fair amount of money will be leaving the wallet. Whether you ask the seller for the ASET image or buy an ASET scope for yourself...the peace of mind it offers is usually always worth the effort or small price.

I requested aset images for a few stones from bluenile but the answer was always “sellers do not have them.”
And I considered buying an aset scope but the thought of having to order the diamond online, check it through the aset scope and if I don’t like it then return is just too much.
I totally agree with you, for $50, it’s absolutely worth it to have an aset scope if I was buying a loose diamond at a local jeweler.
