Asscher - ASET assistance

How'dy, I was hoping I can get some thoughts on an asscher cut. I would like help selecting and determining whether the image is real. What your thoughts on the ASET and video?

It's a 1 Ct D VVS2. The second option has significant bright red but white in the middle.

white center in ASET didnt need to see video.

Thanks @Karl_K !! Really helpful. I wasn't sure how to interpret the blue, it seems desirable but only a reasonable quantum.
My dealer shown me another diamond. This looks much better and closer to reference ones. What would your thoughts be on this?
Significant areas of red, bright return.
Medium Blue - good contract.
White - some / good level?

@Karl_K I'd like to pick your brain.

Windmills on Diamond #1 are narrower than Diamond #3. Is that what you mean?

Unfortunately, I'll get to see it in real life once I "buy it". From an ASET point of view, is it the excellent range or would you say the white's bring it down to a "good" band

I cant mark on the image but see where the windmills looks like they get thin quickly.
The should flow evenly down in a wedge shape.
Looking closer there is an optical allusion going on there.
Anyway the aset; 1 being best and 5 the worst its around a 3 due to all the white outside the table and some under the table.

Wow! I didn't it would rate that low! I thought it may still be a "good" diamond but not excellent

Appreciate your help mate. How long you been in the industry

Learning points for me
* Avoid white in / around the table.
* Decent level of blue contrast but not too much
* Keep green to a limit
* Windmill, I am having hard time seeing the windmill

I have been in the industry since 2008, have been at PS since 2003.
The windmill is the wedge shaped area here there are 4 of them so it looks like a windmill.
They should evenly taper towards the center.

I just spoke to my dealer, he said this is the best stone he can find. Plus I won't find a better diamond unless I want to spend extra ~US$2,500.

Alternatively, is it possible to find an "excellent" ~1.2c Asscher for under US 7,000 online or am I being unreasonable? I can order online and have my jeweler set it

My preferences: F+ | VS2+ / eyeclean | Symmetry: Ex | Size: ~1.2c

I have landed on a design with trapezoids on the side. I think it looks really classy

I like that second one - but it might just be the video lighting/setup? Have they (Adiamor or their suppliers) changed it recently? It seems to have more contrast than other videos I've seen (either there or elsewhere - I can't remember!)

IIRC they take a week to cut (!) to the required tolerances (that have to be hand-cut because the computer tolerances are not tight enough!) so there is a huge amount of labour and skill to pay for.

Yoram at www.gemconcepts.net cuts them and sells them direct - he has recently cut one in a Lab Grown diamond, which might work out cheaper due to the lower base cost of the rough, but the labour costs are still there! IIRC he has said that he would need to cut to a minimum of 2.5ct to cover costs, which would still be 5-figures... lol (I may be wrong - no harm in asking him if you are interested!)

Adaimor, the ASET is not great!
I've emailed Good Old Gold to see what they have.
Makes me think Diamond #3,is the best ASET I've seen.T I am okay with the sharper windmills, worried about the leakage.

Is there any dealer that may have an excellent cut?
