Love it!!!

Beautiful!

Thank you gregchang35! Coming from one of the Dukes of Asscher, my goodness!

Oh dear, this looks huge, sorry. Daniel M. argentium silver ring from his website for 1.19 E color VS2 Asscher from Todd Gray, back when he sold diamonds. rings,Ray 017.jpg

That looks beautiful! :kiss2: Can we see some more pics?

oooo love it! congrats!

Congratulations on your lovely new ring, @Ibrakeforpossums!

But if you think you're going to get away with just one photo.... :naughty: Keep 'em coming, please!

Beautiful!

nclrgirl, thank you so much!
This crazy thing was Todd Gray's last Asscher from his favorite cutter, and it took the diamond 24 days to get to Daniel M. in Mass. Sustained agony. I told Dan, if I ever get that ring, I'm going to name it "Misery."
My endless thanks to the two gentlemen mentioned above for their kindness and generosity. Two great people who have added immeasurable value to my modestly sized diamond ring.

Gorgeous Asscher!!!

Oooohhh! Very nice! And I love the new 'step' ring with it!

I could be wrong, of course, but I have a sense that this is one of those rings that looks nice in photos - but FABULOUS in real life.

Enjoy, @Ibrakeforpossums! It's lovely!

:wavey:

Oh mrs-b, you are so kind to say that! And I didn't photograph it well, it looks liquid IRL. Thank you!
Silly step ring from India wasn't meant to go with this, I just like it.

Interesting design in a good way.

Thank you! That's Daniel M. from Etsy. He said he's put many different stones in that setting and they all work.
I thought it looks slightly androgynous.

RunningwithScissors, thank you for your comment! I enjoy and learn from your posts.
This diamond is a strange story, Todd offered to sell it from his previous business inventory and as soon as I said, "How much?" he dropped out of sight.
Turns out he was ill so 12 days later I bought it from Brian Gavin where it was stored.
This is the only diamond I've ever bought that appeared larger than I expected. i checked that I hadn't been shipped the wrong stone!

You have definitely hit the jackpot if you have found a nicely cut asscher which looks bigger than you expected! It certainly does look very pretty and a good size on your finger. Nice work!

diamondhoarder, I'm late in thanking you for this kind comment. Someday, perhaps I'll get a good photo and not the craigslist quality I've been putting out.
Now that your Asscher has a happy new owner, do you have your eye on anything?

A more accurate question might be what dont I have my eye on  But I have been thinking a lot about what the optimum number and style of rings for me would be, to ensure that I am maximising my cost per wear, and that is giving me pause. In fact I may even sell another one: my Princess of Hearts/ quadex style radiant . Or I may decide to have it re-set. The jury is out at the moment. I may need to start a thread about it to help my deliberations.........

Is there a thread for this ring?
You scared me for a moment, thought you meant the Ruby Prince.
You know there's a stiff penalty for selling a Jewel of the Week.
