He flew in from Michigan yesterday, sneaked into my apt, and surprised me with this beauty!
I don''t know all the specs yet, but I do know that it''s from Whitehall Jewelers, they call the style ''micropave'', and there''s 72 teeny tiny diamonds plus a .5 carat rock in the center. I don''t have my own digi-cam, so I used a friend''s last night. Unfortunately, that meant kitchen lightbulbs instead of sun. You wouldn''t believe how sparkley this thing is in real life! It took forever to count the little diamonds because you can barely focus that close on it with your eyes. We had gone ring hunting for ideas a few weeks ago, and both fell in love with this little beauty. As Billy said, "I decided to buy the sparley-ist one" --- definitely good advice when ring shopping!
The down side - there was a mix-up at the jewelers in Michigan, so my ring wasn''t in the store when he went to pick it up! A general manager drove to another location and picked up this loaner so as not to ruin the plan. So this beauty goes back on Monday.
I get the real thing (in the right size - this one is too big) in 2 weeks when I move out to Ypsilanti, MI.
