At this point in your "waiting game", what would you say you are MOST anxious/excited about? What is the #1 thing you are looking forward regarding the engagement?

When he finally buys the ring.

Since we have the diamond now and I kinda know what the ring will look like, it was kinda a toss up between the commitment/engagement and starting to plan the wedding. So I voted the commitment. :))

Good anxious or bad anxious? I should hope we don't have any bad anxious feelings here! I just always picture that word giving two different feelings hehe.

I would say I am most anxious planning...maybe good and bad anxious actually. Due to the job sitch, no idea where both of us will end up so don't know what city I would be looking at planning stuff in. Dresses and other major things I'm sure I'll have to come back to my hometown (larger city) but like venue and stuff idk. I want to get my ring (major bling fever setting in...temporary cure though as I have a surprise to share soonish) but "waiting" wise, not really feeling anxious about the process at all, mostly the life stuff that is surrounding it more :wacko:

I'm anxious as in nervous to plan a wedding. I am helping with some wedding planning/executing at the moment, and occasionally when my To Do List is looming over me I worry how it will be when the wedding is my own!

I'm anxious as in excited to be committed to engagement/marriage. I think thats more what you meant!

::)

I guess I'm also excited about the ring, but just in a kind of surface-y way.

Where is Option 5: All of the Above??!

I think all of these but in different ways... I am super excited to wear the ring, mostly to be able to wear my grandma's stone.

I am really anxious about planning the wedding... good anxious but maybe overwhelmed a tad? I am a 'To-Do' list person so that could turn to bad-anxious at some point. I have checked out a lot of the basic stuff and come up with a rough budget and guest list. I feel pretty good about that and we have started saving.

I am really REALLY excited for the commitment and engagement part. This is #1 to me. :bigsmile:

How about you, misscuppycake? ::)

Since we already have the stone, I'm really just anxious about the actual engagement/proposal. Once that's "out of the way" then I can start to entertain anxiety about wedding planning lol. He's been giving me mixed signals about how he sees our wedding-- first he said courthouse, then he came home from work and started talking about our entry/first dance (which you clearly wouldn't have at a courthouse hah) so really I'm just anxious about the proposal so that I can actually start talking to him about it and make a plan, as opposed to it being in some future fantasy world.

He's also in zero rush to set the stone... which I'm fighting the LIWitis but JEEZ, we've only had it for 3 weeks and it's already driving me bonkers, I can't imagine my internal state when it'll be months (which I'm praying it won't be...)

Then again, on the same day that he bought the stone he bought a ring that he really liked for me... he's yet to gift it to me and even before the diamond purchase I told him that I'd be beyond happy if he proposed with that... so dual anxiety 'cause I don't wanna completely ruin a surprise if he does plan on proposing with another ring. There should be an option on the poll: JUST PLAIN ANXIOUS :lol:

I agree with antiquesparkler, there needs to be an all of the above choice!

I am super excited/anxious for all of it! I think I am most excited about the commitment part though. The wedding and planning makes me a little nervous, but I'm excited to go dress shopping and plan everything with my mom and sisters and BF's stepmom and sister!

And to get all that plus being able to sport some awesome bling just gets me so excited!

TBH, I am just anxious to have the ring on my finger so I can actually BOOK things. We picked the month, the wedding planners, the package we want for our destination wedding...hell we are going to a travel showplace this weekend to get ideas on honeymoons...

GIMME THE RING!!!! (So we stop looking crazy...)

I am the most anxious/excited about the commitment. That is THE main reason why I want to get engaged and married. And of course in second comes the ring :love: :lol: ! And the ring kinda falls into the commitment for me anyway because it is a great way to show the world that we are committed to each other. I am dying anxious for that! Haha.

But it probably won't be for a year or so ... :confused:

I have actually gotten to the point where I contemplated eloping... because I just want to be married already to my best friend. I think I'm really just ready for the "wife" part and most excited about that.

the honeymoon?... :naughty:
