August Brides Check In! How are your plans coming along?

So we are into July now which means that for a few of us, our wedding day is less than 8 weeks away. So tell me - How are you plans coming along? How do you feel knowing that within a matter of weeks you will be married?

As for me, plans are coming along nicely. Most things are organised. There are just loose ends to tie up really. FI still needs to get his outfit. I need to go for hair and makeup trials. I also need to get my engagement ring sized up in time for the wedding so it won''t be tight with my wedding band. About 2/3 of the day guests have RSVP''d. Once we have full numbers we will ciontact the reception venue to finalise food orders and numbers. Most of the reception decorations are made, but I am waiting for another batch of glass mirror chippings to line my centrepiece vases.

The only problem so far, is that the bridesmaid flowers are a lot smaller than I had anticipated so we might need to rework them. We have gone for silk flowers so they can keep them. My mother''s friend is a talanted flower arranger though so we may ask her if she can rework them somehow and add more flowers. The stem is tiny on them, so the bigger girls really need something larger. It will work out though.

I am very excited at the prospect of being married in a few short weeks. My FI have been together for over 7 years and engaged for over 5 years, so I feel my time is finally arriving. I get to spend my life with my best friend. Sure, we will bicker, but I love him so, so much, I just can''t wait!

My wedding is August 1, and still a lot to do! I''m planning from out of town, which is part of the reason I''m a little behind, but the big things are in place and I''ve never really sweated the small stuff so I''m sue it''ll be ok. I figure if it really mattered to me, it''d be finalized by now!

That being said, I still have to do hair/makeup trials and finalize the flowers, and make programs (it''s a catholic mass so I feel like I should make programs for the half of the guests that will have no idea what''s going on). I''m still deciding on welcome bags for the out-of-towners. And there''s other little things like table numbers, vendor meals, etc that I have to finalize, but the big things (the dress, officiant, reception arrangements, photographer) are all good to go!

My wedding is August 22! I''m super organized! I still need to get earrings. This is hard to find when you have sensitive ears!
I want to make tissue "pom poms" for the tent. It''s a backyard wedding with a HUGE tent. I think it would look great to have color hanging from the ceiling. My colors are black,white, and green

I have my second dress fitting on Aug 3rd. I also still need to find a gift for FI.

Hmm, that''s it. I''m ready for this day to get here!!!! Whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe that this kind of topic finally applies to me!! I am also getting married on August 1st. All the big things are done just have a million little things like making the escort cards, finalizing the seating plan, finishing the favors, getting gifts for our parents (ideas anyone?), etc. Oh and I cant forget about paying off all of those balances

My wedding is August 14th, and I am very nearly there!

We still have to:

pick up my dress from the alterations
finish the OOT bags
find a MOH dress
find jewelry for me
FI needs to pick up his suit
figure out what to do about our placecards
buy GMs presents

Hehe, we started planning Feb 2008 and also because I have a wonderful FI who also helped me a lot with the wedding planning and getting things together....

(He even made the cake stand from bamboo stick so I can have my dream wedding cake for our wedding~~)
