I am having another cleanse to raise some money to purchase some new computing equipment. As such I have just listed 3 bargain opal items on LT;

The first is a Black Aussie Opal I've owned for years and never got around to setting into a ring, which is what I'd intended to do with it.... It's a lightening Ridge Solid Black Opal and the retail on it these days I'd guess would be around twice what I'm asking for it, it's a lovely black opal;

1.76 carat Solid Black Australian opal with a dark grey base. Looks like a small galaxy or a fragment of ocean. Very beautiful Aussie opal, out of my own personal collection. Will make an outstanding, decent sized ring stone. Stone is brand new (although I have owned it unset for a number of years) with no cracks, chips or issues of any kind. Stone is 10.76 x 7.37mms.

Asking $750.00, registered, trackable, signed for shipping is $25.00.

Next is a massive 17.82 carat Solid Black Australian opal with a light to mid grey base. This one you see the grey base but it is like a modern artwork of amazing slashes of colour that go across the stone. Like all opals the colours change a bit depending upon the lighting source, I've taken photos in direct strong sunlight and in the shade....

Very beautiful Aussie opal, out of my own personal collection. Will make an outstanding modern freeform statement ring, or a very nice pendant or could even be set into a bracelet. The stone is brand new (although I have owned it unset for a number of years) with no cracks, chips or issues of any kind, there is a small natural dint or two in one side of the stone which is how it came to me so it was polished and left like that but that would be covered completely when the stone is set, I for example would put a yellow gold or a white gold metal bezel around it and then set it as either a ring, pendant or in a bracelet. Approximate measurements of the stone are; 27.02 x 22.90x 5.30.

Asking $775.00, registered, trackable, signed for shipping is $25.00. I paid $1395USD for this stone about 6 or 7 years ago, and I'd guess it would be up around the $2000+ mark for something similar these days....

Very Pretty Solid Australian Crystal Opal Bar Brooch Set in 15K Yellow gold really lovely looking split prongs. The pin at the back is 15K rose gold, the bar and the setting around the heart shaped opal is 15K Yellow Gold. Another beautiful Aussie opal (yes I am fussy), out of my own personal collection. Will make an outstanding ring, the bar is more than long enough to make any ring size and I had intended to send the brooch to the US and get a ring made out of it (I can give you the name of a place to send it that charges a reasonable fee for the conversion), but never got around to it. Stone is in great condition, no cracks, chips or issues of any kind. Stone is 12.64 x 11.00 and the pin is 63mms or 6.30cms in length.

The stone and the gold alone is worth 2 to 3 times what I'm asking...... Asking $400.00 USD, (which is less than I paid for it a couple of years ago) registered, trackable, signed for shipping is $25.00USD.
