Letting go my stash, in order to raise small funds for Edwina. My listings are detailed on Pricescope only, and Processed through Etsy. Here’s the link: https://etsy.me/2IHaMc3
——————————————————-
18k antique (I suspect) Russian crystal egg pendant, in the Faberge style, containing five tiny seed pearls shaped as eggs nestled inside. The hallmark is visible on the bail but I can’t read it. However I do believe this to be Russian not French as there are no hallmarks on the large gold loop holding the two crystal egg halves together and if it were French I believe it would have a hallmark in that location. Instead it has one where the Russians put them. YMMV.

Glossy and smooth, with excellent transparency, it’s heavy too, at 4.56g of 18k yellow gold. If you like the Faberge egg style, this one’s a beauty. So simple, and lovely. And I imagine someone must have had it commissioned as a gift to the mother of five children. So sweet.

Asking $299 with Free shipping. https://etsy.me/2IHaMc3

I really love this but once converted into CAD it’s too expensive for me right now. Good luck with your sale, I’m sure this will move quickly like your other pieces!

Thanks Candice! I appreciate your support!

@Candice I’ll drop the price a bit and hope that helps!

I need to point out that the inside of the egg has microscopic pearl dust (presumably unavoidable after a century!) and the previous buyer mentioned it to me as the reason for return, she loved the pendant but found that she didn’t enjoy seeing shimmer on the inside wall of the egg. It came back in perfect condition and the buyer was sad to send it back.

I wouldn’t want to send it out without pointing out the feedback I got! I’ve attached a photo.

It's sooo tempting!! I need to figure out a chain for it though. I was looking a paperclip style chains but couldn't find any I loved or were within budget including the pendant, I'm still sad I missed out on your chain you had offered previously!!!

Now only $195
Need to sell to be able to keep the little amethyst heart pendant I took a chance on!

Is this still available?

Do you remember where you initially got it from? I always like to learn more about vintage pieces before I buy, if there is more that can be shared/learned!

Thanks for asking! I don’t have any background for it, but my usual place I buy is CJ Antiques (through their website, their Etsy, and their ebay). I’m sure I must have bought it from them at the same time as buying a ring. They’re in England. https://www.cjantiquesltd.com/pendants-lockets

I’m not sure why my eyes are so attuned to Russian style. Have you seen any of the documentaries on Faberge eggs? My YouTube ‘suggested’ feed is full of them!

Oh, I haven't seen any of those documentaries yet, but will add it to my list! Thank you for sharing additional info. I just placed the purchase through etsy :)
