Love the nails!!! Very nice!! (...and getting a coupla freebie ring shots, ain't to shabby either! :naughty: )

Happy Thanksgiving!

Your rings are perfect! :appl: I love the way they turned out, and how significant the designs are; they are heirloom worthy for sure! The nails are nice too.

I'm off to the gym, and then a full day of Thanksgiving preparations to start.

Take Care and Have a Blessed Thanksgiving My Friend! =)

How is it that your stunning ring gets even more beautiful every time I look at it? Wow! Thanks for the pics!

I love your festive holiday nails with your ring! Happy thanksgiving:)

I love the look!

Yummy! :cheeky:

Pretty nails! I always love seeing your beautiful set Dougsgirl. I am rather partial to the superbling look. :cheeky:

So beautiful! I'm jealous of your set! And those nails look super spectacular!

Yummy!

Such gorgeous rings!!! And pretty nails too!

Those were rhetorical questions, right?!! Beautiful beautiful! But I don't know, hard to compete with those nails - I have always admired those, but never had two-toned myself (is that what you call them?). So DG, I think you'll need to come back with a new set of pics for every holiday so we can see how they go with your glam nails

So pretty!!! I can't wait to see your Christmas nails!

(You are going to get a spacer ring, right? I hate to see that diamond band scratching your halo ring!)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :wavey:

Fun Mani DG! And of course very beautiful rings. Happy Turkey Day :)

Love everything about this!

Your nails are PERFECT for Thanksgiving!
I ADORE your ring...does it have it's own thread?? I would love to drool some more :)

Thanks everyone!! I actually never had nails until I got my new ring. Then it just didn't seem right to have a beautiful ring and short, jagged, ugly nails with bad cuticles! So now I've been enjoying blinging out my nails too! It doesn't show very well in the pics, but these ones are burnt orange with flecks of red, gold and copper. They're super fun! And yes... I will definitly come back and show off my Christmas nails when I get them. :appl:

YES! The spacer ring is actually in process as we speak. And staying true to my "heirloom" ring set, I am having the yellow gold from my original wedding ring, plus some of the gold from the ring my mom gave me (from my great aunt) melted down and combined to make the spacer ring! It is going to be a yellow gold twist with very fine milgrain on the edges of the twist. I will hopefully have it in a week or 2, I will be sure to post pics!
Thanks for looking after me, DS! :wink2:

Thank you, sweet friend! And good for you for going to the gym! I have been a BAD girl in that regard lately. It's hard to want to run in the rain (actually, it's hard to want to run at ALL these days) but I have to get back to it. I'm doing a 2-person relay in January (it's a half marathon, and I'll be running half of it, 6.2 miles I think) so I have to get my lazy butt back in gear!! I haven't run more than 3 miles since August.
I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving as well! Hugs to you!

And thanks to all of you for the sweet compliments on my rings . I am sure enjoying FINALLY getting to wear them!! :appl:

I love the nails!!! I always look for any excuse to have glitter on my nails. How perfect with Thanksgiving! And of course your gorgeous blingy rocks!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Beautiful!!! :appl: Did I miss when you got your eternity?? It looks beautiful together. Hurry up and get your spacer, so you can wear em together all the time!

Oh, I see the fab nails now!! awesome. They're great and fun. You're a runner too!! I've got to run more to keep the bling craze under control. OMG!! We should chat on another forum, but I just finished the Philly marathon! I should consider this ring a finishing medal. I didn't even get myself anything for the first one. ;) Have a great relay! I've always wanted to do one. It sounds like lots of fun! :appl:

That is SO awesome!! Good for you!!
I don't really consider myself a runner... I am not a "natural" and it is very hard for me. I am very slow. But this year was a big year for me... I ran my first half-marathon in May! I had walked one 3 times before, and run-walked one once. But this was my first time "running" the whole thing. I know it wouldn't really be considered running to a lot of people (we finished in 2:36) but it was running for ME!

And then in August I participated in the Hood to Coast relay. It is the biggest relay in the world. I live in Oregon and the race goes from the top of Mt. Hood (in the Cascade mountain range) to the beach at Seaside. It is 200 miles. Every team has 12 runners and every runner runs 3 legs of the race. It took our team 35 hours and 7 minutes....
We decided it was a little like childbirth. When you're in the middle of it you think... this SUCKS and I am NEVER doing it again! But once it's over and you've accomplished it you say... WOW, what a great experience! I can't wait for next year!

Anyway... since the relay... I have barely run at all. I was supposed to do the whole half-marathon in January, but I talked my friend into doing the relay with me instead because I just can't stomach the idea of running 13 miles again right now. It was NOT easy for me!
But I think I will be fine with 6.2... I just need to get my butt back in gear.

Good for you for doing the marathon!!! After doing 13.1 I don't think I have ANY desire to do 26.2... I think I would be happy to do 10K races about 5 times a year and never go farther than that! But I really admire people who can do it. I just wish I was one who loved it.
And you TOTALLY need a gift for yourself for finishing a marathon!!! :appl: Great job!!!

Thank you!! I never thought I would do marathons. It just came on when I started running with other hard core marathoners. They're all crazy and dragging me in too. I've heard of Hood to Coast. I heard it's REALLY hard to get in. I had a friend that part of a group that tried for three years. That must have been soooo fun!! (in the end when you had finished it!) I bet you will have an amazing time this year. Congratulations on running your first half! It's a big deal!! It takes time and I remember running one really brutal SF half and injured myself at mile 4. I made myself finish and vowed never to do another one. 7 months later I did it again. Crazy...

Yeah, a large part is getting back out there. Once you do, I bet you'll start loving the happy hormones again. Nothing gives you quite the high as running! Well, maybe some serious bling... ;) Have a wonderful thanksgiving!! You've inspired me. Maybe I will change my nails for the holidays. Not loving this whitish pink right now. Keep me updated when you finish any races. 10k are lots of fun too. There are so many local ones these days! Good luck and stay healthy!!!!
