B-day Weekend Engagement

To be honest, I am not the type of girl who has dreamed of getting engaged, or married for that matter. However, I *almost* cried when he popped the question, which I am still shocked about to this day. He said my expression was priceless and will never forget it, since it was so uncharacteristic.

My birthday fell on a Tuesday (6/23), so he wanted to celebrate the following weekend and decided to line up a bunch of fun activities for us to do to celebrate my b-day. He was so cute and created a schedule of events using photoshop and decorated it with pictures of my cat (I love my cat way too much, see the Ragdoll thread in the Hangout). The proposal took place on the last day of the celebration, which was on Sunday and then we went to dinner. Our server was so nice and brought me roses to celebrate...hehe.

I was completely surprised by the proposal because he has arranged fun weekends for my b-days in the past. When he presented the ring, I was in complete shock and almost cried. However, I composed myself enough to say yes.

Before the engagement, he took me to see the Lippizans perform...they were beautiful! All of the horses in the show are related very closely to famous Lippizans of Austria. (Horses are another love of my life)

Another of the setting. DF was not too pleased with me taking this picture, as he thought I would drop the ring. To his defense, I was holding the ring in one hand and the camera in the other. In my defense, I was holding the ring over a rock, not the lake!
