has anyone ever planned or attended a scavenger hunt bachelorette party?

it''s not the kind where everyone watches the bride perform tasks (i.e. go kiss a bald man, or whatever), but rather we will be in three teams (each with a DD) and will have 90 minutes to get as many points as possible for things like getting a menu for the resturant catering the wedding, take a photo with your entire team in a men''s restroom, etc...

then afterward we''ll meet back at a bar to share stories and pictures and tally points and crown a winner.

i know it''s inane, and some people hate these kinds of parties (and it''s not anything like what i had for my party), but anyone who has been to one or has any ideas i''d love to hear them!!

also, any ideas for prizes at the end? or non-prizes for the losers?

thanks :)

I can''t help b/c I have never attended a bachelorette scavenger hunt before, but I think it sounds fun!

My MOH planned a sort of competition for my bachelorette party involving cards full of sticker where we had to "Rate the Guys." There were about 12 random stickers to put on various men like "Worst Dancer" and "Best Biceps." Whoever got rid of all the stickers on their card first won a free shot at the bar! We created rules like you couldn''t put more than one sticker on a guy, so it made it challenging!

I hope you have fun with the scavenger hunt! I would totally do it because I love games like that!

Here is what the stickers looked like:

i''ve been to 2 of them and they were so much fun! first time i''ve ever been in a men''s bathroom to leave a fake number in lipstick on the mirror haha

Your idea sounds like tons of fun. I did one of the more traditional ones for my own bachelorette party and I think that your twist of teams will make things really engaging and interesting!

I think this sounds like at ton of fun! I LOVE scavenger hunts, they are one of my favorite things to do!

The losers should have to wear embarrassing headpieces, like those veils with little penises all over them or something.

Whatever you have them find, they should have to take digital pictures of their team in the act of getting each task done. We did a scavenger hunt with teams for my Sweet 16 and gave each team Polaroid cameras (this was before the age of digital cameras) and the pictures were priceless!

What about:
- Get a business card from a single man who is in the same line of business as the groom-to-be, a man who has the same last name as the groom (bonus if it's the same first and last) (and vice versa for the bride)
- Get a business card from a marriage therapist/counselor, etc. :)
- Written marriage advice (provide index cards or something) from a couple married at least 10 years/20 years/30 years/40 years
- Marriage advice from a child under the age of 5/10/15
- A condom from a guy
- A couple with the same names as the bride- and groom-to-be
- A picture with three other brides-to-be (one picture with all of them. I'm thinking of my city, which is always crawling with bach parties on the weekends.)
- A picture with a guy who looks like the groom/girl who looks like the bride
- A $5 (max) honeymoon gift

(The more creative, the more points they get!)
- A good in-law joke from a married man or woman
- A picture of strangers spelling out the bride and groom's initials with their bodies (think Sesame Street) or hands
- Menus or other mementos from restaurants and venues you know the bride and groom have gone on dates
- Get a tour of a hotel bridal or honeymoon suite
- Convince five strangers to allow you to draw a fake tattoo on their arm of the bride and groom's initials in a heart, take a picture
- Convince a restaurant to write a note to the couple on their menu board/chalk board that they keep in the front of house to write specials. Take a picture.
- If you have street performers in your city, get a mini caricature of the couple by a street artist
- Take a picture of a couple on their first date. Bonus points if they met in the same way as the bride and groom (e.g. in a bar, in college, through a mutual friend)
- If they have cameras with video recorders, they could: Record a stranger serenading the bride on tape/giving marriage advice/etc. It would be so cool to get video cameras and have them get all the advice recorded, and have people wish them well and then you could compile it into one tape.
- Convince restaurants or coffee shops to give you gift cards or coupons/vouchers for the couple.

I want to do create of these now! I am totally going to do this for my sister's bachelorette party!

ETA:
Prizes. Hmmm . . .
You could give the winners gift cards to Starbucks or for manicures or something. Something that's easy to carry around because you'll have a whole group of winners.
If you want something funny, you could get those big rainbow penis lollipops for the winners, or something similar.

yes!! so glad to hear enthusiasm about the idea!! i think it will be great and i really, really hope everyone has a good time!

haven - thank you so, so, so, so much for that!!! i just incorporated a bunch of those into my list!!!!! yayyyyy
